NIFT or National Institute of Fashion Technology conducts an entrance exam for admission into Bachelor level degree programmes

in Fashion Design, Accessory Design, Knitwear Design, Leather Design, Apparel Production, Communication Design, Textile Design and Master Programme in Fashion Management, Apparel Production and Design Space. Admission of the candidates depends on their performance in the written exam and on the Situation Test/Interview/GD. Exam Details The exam of consists of 3-4 parts depending on the programmes for which the candidates have applied. The candidates are administered with the help of Creative Ability Test (CAT), General Ability Test (GAT), Managerial Ability Test and Situation Test. Creative Ability Test (CAT): CAT tests the skill, design and innovation ability and power of observation of the candidate. Its important aspect is the illustration and the usage of colors by the candidate. General Ability Test (GAT): This test comprises of: Quantitative Ability English Comprehension Business Domain Test Communication Ability Analytical Ability Situation Test: The candidates who are short-listed after the written exam are given a set of materials and a situation and they have to come up with an innovative idea showing their material handling skills.
