A BRIEF note on the following legal Databases


1. SCC Online:
Definition:
Scc online is a type of legal Database and Legal Research tool used for covering all Indian
case laws from Tribunals, High courts, Supreme courts, and Statutory law. It also deals with
certain legal information from several international Jurisdictions and International laws. It
also holds a list of over 550 authoritative and their familiar titles. The electronic form uses
one of the most exemplary developed law information databases, making it easy to access
legal databases electronically. SCC Online is the leading law report in India which contains
high quality and accuracy standards that have earned the respect of the whole legal
community. Your account will help you store the research work in the folders. It has
complete cross citation data, which can be searched with ease. Despite having easy to
navigate interface, SCC Online still helps in providing options to organize training for using
the software. It also contains toll-free phone no. and Email Id for further queries. It gives
relevant information in the case study, including the judges' names, the year, and the
Jurisdiction. It allows us to highlight important points, and we can save the case study in the
folder section or directly print it.

2. Manupatra:
Manupatra is a type of Legal Database that provides legal information to legal professionals
to recover documents, cases and statutes. It provides tools that make the legal search more
accessible, faster and more spontaneous. It helps lawyers, users and professionals to navigate
documents related to cases and statutes faster and efficiently. Under the menu, search has a
single search box used to search for phrases, words, and many more. It can be organized on
court name, party name, date, and relevant information. Under the citation, the search gives
impressive results while describing all source elements. It includes various features such as
sticky notes, notepads, documents that can be stored in iCloud, chrome and outlook
extension, and maps are also provided. Under the judgement Template, Manupatra gives you
the citations, the name of the court, the names of the parties, the judge's names, the counsel's
names where shows in-depth of various cases the councils have handled, subject and citing
references. It summarises the case, the reason behind the decision, and the final judgement.

3. West Law:

It is a type of Legal Database that helps you provide legal definitions in statutory and
acts. Ticking one or more jurisdiction boxes on the homepage, type the terms in the
search box, and click search. And for Jurisdiction, enter the keywords to browse content
type. We can navigate our search results highlighted in yellow and add additional
keywords to search for items on the search page. For different Jurisdictions, we can select
the case laws. To access the most relevant cited cases, it includes a digest of cases with
hyperlinks. It also shows whether the patient has received positive, negative or mixed
judicial remedies. Under Advanced Research, it allows the user to search for the exact
results relevant to the information you have stated the date or the time. This Database
provides the feature to print, copy, or save any documents or articles. Documents can be
saved or emailed to different file formats.

4.Lexis Nexis:
Lexis Nexis is a type of Legal Database that helps detect information in which
government agencies and organizations will have a complete view of business and assets
with enough data and provide analytical solutions. Under this, we will find cases,
legislation, analytical materials, and defined terms. Lexis Nexis also provides
publications and bare acts. Lexis Nexis provides users with premium information sources
and advanced web technologies. It also includes access to various searchable documents
and provides legal sources and news. It consists full of case reports from multiple
Jurisdictions, including detailed references. It consists of publishing brands from the 19th
century, including Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Asia- Pacific Region. It also
helps reduce risk in identifying fraud and securing and supporting law enforcement.

5. Kluwer Arbitration, IP & Patents:

It is a type of Legal Database that contains an extensive collection of primary source


materials from expert authors. They include one of the best features of standard law
systems. It consists of all types of content, and we can browse various jurisdictions,
organizations, awards, court decisions, and analytics. We can search for a specific topic
and click on boxes provided under content types, authors, and Jurisdiction. Tick on the
boxes in what you are searching for. And it also includes bibliography references. It gives
materials including ICC cases and awards are also provided.

6. AIR Online:
All India Reporter or AIR online is a legal database that grasps various topics, mainly
researched commentaries on various acts were published under this banner. AIR became one
of the most vigorous and virile law publication houses. Based on judgements in India, It
helps in editing, printing, press activities, and in the end, forwarding them. This also covers
cases from the criminal side of the law from the high court or supreme courts.
7.Taxmann:

Taxmann is a type of Legal Database that provides the most accurate and fastest information
reporting. It includes tax laws, provides rules, acts and forms of Incox tax. Provides new
updates and the latest stories. It provides tools and a research box. It includes the following

It is a type of legal Database where many users can access more than 3,000 journals in which
it examines more than thousands of topics from the very start. It includes features such as
tools, interface and databases. In which t provides a detailed explanation of that resources and
dedicated content. This Database has the efficient use of artificially intelligent tools and
research aids. This comes with affordable packages as it adds weekly and monthly content
with entirely new databases.

9. J-Store:
J-store is a type of Legal Database or a Digital Library which provides a platform for locating
and attaching research and primary sources. It offers a low cost and provides a wide arrange
