CHRISTOPHER NOLAN

I will introduce you Christopher Nolan.

Christopher Edward Nolan is a British-American director, screenwriter, editor, and film producer,
born July 30, 1970 in Westminster, London. He has 47. He is British and American. He lives in Los
Angeles. At the age of nineteen, Christopher Nolan met Emma Thomas. They married in 1997 and
had four children: Magnus, Oliver, Savannah and Rory. In 2001, after the success of Memento, they
decided to found their own production company, named Syncopy Films.

Christopher Edward Nolan was born in the Westminster district of London to a British father,
Brendan James Nolan, advertising director, and American mother, Christina successively flight and
English teacher. His childhood was shared between London and Chicaco. He has an elder brother,
Mathew and a younger brother, Jonathan, creator of the television series Person of Interest.

He was a pupil of Haileybury and Imperial Service College, a private school in Hertford Heath,
Hertfordshire. He then studied English Literature at University College London (UCL). In 1998,
Christopher made his first feature film, Following . In 2001, he created the Syncopy Films with
Emma Thomas, his wife. He succeeded 26 nominations and 7 awards at Academy Awards.
