    HOUSE VISIT:
    Once you have found the perfect spot for you, complete this checklist before signing your lease.

     Check floors, walls & ceiling for evidence of water damage, mold, mildew, cracks etc.
     Open & close windows. Make sure all windows have screens.
     Open closets, doors & cabinets to check for storage and any lurking critters.
     Check for all kinds of bugs!
     Check the appliances in the kitchen to see that they are all in working order.
     Turn on faucets. Make sure you have clear water, good pressure, and no banging in
    the pipes, no clogged drains etc.
     Flush toilets.
     Be aware of the noise level in the house.
     Check to see that you have cell service.
     Check the locks on exterior doors & make sure they are in good working order.
     If you’re living in an apartment, check out the lobby, elevator, and ask about mail.
     Ask what the procedure is for making a maintenance request (leaky faucet, water
    damage etc.)
