ABSTRACT
Researching content-based movie recommendation systems is the aim of the
project. These days, recommender systems are a part of everyday life. In order
to accomplish this investigation, we begin by constructing a prototype using a
small dataset of 5,000 assessments. Recommendation engines have become
more popular as e-commerce has expanded.
There are numerous recommendation engines on the market that may suggest
a wide range of products to users. These suggestions support a number of
factors, including users' interests, past behaviour, locations, and more. Aside
from the aforementioned factors, individualism is a common trait. While
collaborative and content-based movie recommendation engines make
suggestions based on the user's viewpoint, the user may not be able to find films
that suit his tastes on his own.
These films may be recommended to clients by the engine, but due to the
spectrum of "individuality," these machines do not recommend films that are
not already in the can. This range of individuality has been crossed by the hybrid
system of the movie recommendation engine. The Movie Recommendation
Engine will recommend films to users based on their interests and be rated by
other users who are very similar to them. We'll be concentrating on a content-
based movie recommendation system for the sake of this study.
