My opinion on the 1872 Cavite Mutiny, as a 21st-century learner, is one that seeks to balance empathy
for the brave Filipinos who fought for their independence with an understanding of the complexities and
lessons this historical event offers. From a contemporary standpoint, it is impossible to pass judgment on the
actions of the Katipuneros without considering the socio-political conditions that prevailed during the 19th
century. Their revolt represents a poignant testament to the universal longing for freedom and self-
determination, values that we hold dear today. However, it is equally crucial to scrutinize the strategic aspects
of their resistance, acknowledging the need for effective planning in the pursuit of justice and independence.
The tragic aftermath of the mutiny serves as a somber reminder of the sacrifices made in the fight against
oppressive regimes, underlining the importance of commemorating those who have given their lives for noble
causes.

Furthermore, we must appreciate the global context in which the mutiny unfolded, as it was part of a
broader trend of anti-colonial movements worldwide. This broader perspective allows us to recognize the
interconnectedness of historical events and to understand how the past shapes our present. Finally, the mutiny
underscores the significance of cultural preservation and the resilience of a people in safeguarding their
traditions in the face of domination. In conclusion, my opinion on the 1872 Cavite Mutiny reflects a nuanced
appreciation of history, acknowledging both the aspirations and challenges faced by those who fought for a
brighter future, and the enduring relevance of their struggle in our contemporary world.

Cavite Mutiny is known to be the uprising and revolution of troops and workers at Cavite where
Filipino workers fought against Spanish troops due to Spanish repression. As a current Filipino citizen, I do
believe that the significance of the Cavite in modern times lies in our own sense of Nationalism. These
uprisings and movements served as one of the first uprisings of Filipinos against Spanish repression, even
though they know that Spain would have more forces, they still fought until their end resulting in the deaths of
three priests Burgos, Gomez, and Zamora. I do believe that their execution is unjustifiable since I also believe
that the Spanish side of the whole story is false. These events are used as a source of inspiration and caution
for us Filipinos who would like to express our own opinion against the Government and other organizations
that are mistreating our country and countrymen. we must know when how to voice out our opinions
effectively and safely since we might also be falsely accused like the Three priests during that era.

To sum it all up, I do believe that the Cavite Mutiny is relevant in the current society due to its effects
on our beliefs, morals, and rights.
