Action (BMWK) - and other public and private sector clients in about 120 countries in
achieving their international cooperation objectives. To this end, GIZ works together with its
partners to develop effective and sustainable solutions.

About the project

Digitalisation is transforming the global economy. It creates new business models,


optimises production and revolutionises communication. Balanced and transparent rules
enable legal certainty and fair competition on the internet. Only if these rules are
harmonised internationally can the economy and society fully benefit from the
opportunities of digitalisation.

On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV), GIZ supports
the Federal Government, the European Union and its partner governments in their efforts
to promote value-based harmonisation in bilateral digital dialogues. Using a multi-
stakeholder approach, GIZ ensures that the dialogues’ activities reflect the interests and
expertise of key players from politics, the private sector and specialist institutions alike,
producing tangible solutions for harmonization that are fed back into multilateral fora
such as the UN IGF and G20. Current priority topics include data policies and digital
security, circular economy and digital value chains incl. semiconductors, as well as
interoperable infrastructure for the twin transition
Main tasks

▪ Advise the European Union, partner ministries and stakeholders of the project on
strategic, conceptual, and technical issues of project development and
implementation;
▪ Establish and further develop the European and Brazilian networks of
stakeholders, including research institutions, regulators and companies, as well
as identify additional opportunities for collaboration;
▪ Prepare and coordinate the development of analyses and technical reports on
relevant developments in economic, digital, and innovation policies issues in
Brazil and Europe;
▪ Plan and implement activities such as workshops, technical exchanges,
interministerial meetings and high-level delegation visits by sensibly engaging all
stakeholders required;
▪ Support the collaboration with ongoing projects in digitalisation and trade
▪ Support the implementation, management and financial planning of the project;
▪ Support the integration of the project within GIZ Brazil ;
▪ Quality and knowledge management as well as monitoring and reporting to/with
the EU;
▪ Other tasks as may be required.

Qualification, experience and additional competence

▪ Completed university degree in the field of political science, economics, social


sciences, international relations, law or a similar subject (advanced degree will
be considered an advantage).
▪ Several years of experience in policy advising and/or implementation of
international cooperation projects, preferably with a focus on emerging
economies, digitalisation, or economic cooperation;
▪ Experience with facilitation of multi-stakeholder dialogues or cooperation with the
business community and/or the European Union;
▪ Proven in-depths knowledge in the areas of private sector cooperation and
digitalisation, as well as high affinity for technology-related topics and trends;
▪ Excellent diplomatic, strategic, and networking skills, as well as confidence in
handling politically sensitive issues and in working with high-ranking government
representatives;
▪ High level of organizational, communication, reporting, and writing skills;
▪ Ability to prioritize and deliver assigned tasks diligently under strict deadlines;
▪ Excellent skills in writing and speaking English and Portuguese (ability to speak
and write German will be considered an advantage);
▪ Proficiency in MS Office, ideally MS Office 365.
What we offer

▪ Contracting regime: CLT.


▪ Working hours: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8 daily hours).
▪ Health plan with 100% coverage without co-participation (GIZ covers 50% for
each child and 20% for your spouse, without waiting period, after the experience
period);

▪ Dental plan is optional and costs R$ 18,18, per employee and family.
▪ Food/meal assistance in the amount of R$699,32;
▪ Life insurance for employee covering until R$ 200.000.
▪ Transportation voucher: provided according to income ration, discounting 6% of
salary.
▪ Annual performance evaluation with financial incentive.
