The Good Life Activity

A list of 5 things I want to change in my life if I know that I only have one
month to live:
1. My sleeping and eating habits
2. I’d strengthen my relationship with God
3. Improve self-care
4. I’d initiate outdoor activities since I’m mostly stuck at home
5. Live a happier life/focus on positive outcomes

How will you put that into practice now that we are all in quarantine?

I would start by disciplining myself rather than focusing on motivating myself. I would
prioritize finding motivation than discipline, which can also be unhealthy. My lifestyle
isn’t the best because I lack discipline, it is more on focusing on yourself and how I can
improve my lifestyle with this. Next would be prioritizing positive thoughts and putting
aside negative thoughts, and with this, I believe that it can help me keep moving forward
and avoid being stuck in a loop full of despair. I believe we should also learn by loving
ourselves, without this we wouldn’t be able to witness the best version of ourselves,
loving yourself is honestly the hardest process but I believe it takes time and slowly we
learn, it all starts with us. Lastly, I would like to build a stronger relationship with God
and find lightness within this darkness I am going through.

“Improvement begins with I.” as said by Arnold H. Glasow, it is simple and easy to
comprehend yet inspiring because it is true, if we wanna change it all starts with us and
how we take action. “Wait for Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for
the Lord!” - Psalm 27:14, I believe that everything in life takes time and we must acquire
patience but with that, we should be willing to open both our hearts and mind to get
ready as it is also a leap of faith, time will come where everything will be okay as long
as we believe. Another favorite quote of mine is from Oprah Winfrey who said, “You can
have it all. You just can’t have it all at once.”, it means that we should take it one step at
a time, with that I firmly believe that we should also take it slow, we can’t just achieve
everything all at the same time, we start by going slowly one by one and we’ll just be
surprised how we made it to this good life of ours.
