Problems Involving Digestive System
Indigestion or Dyspepsia- a disorder wherein you feel as if your stomach is
growling. Caused by excessive eating and stress. Rest and relaxation is required.

Acid Reflux, Heartburn and Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) - disorder

caused by back flowing (or reflux) of the acidic gastric juice into the esophagus.
The person with this disorder unconsciously regurgitates the gastric juice causing
a sour taste. Overeating, being overweight, poor chewing habits, pregnancy,
eating fatty meals, drinking a lot of coffee and carbonated drinks and alcohol and
smoking can cause this disorder.
Constipation - the difficult and incomplete passage of stool or fecal materials and
infrequent bowel movement. This can be treated by drinking laxatives and increase water
intake.

Diarrhea- loose bowel movement. It is often caused by viruses and bacteria ingested
through the intake of contaminated foods and drinks. This can be cured by drinking
plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration, resting to reduce stress and seeing a doctor.

Peptic Ulcer- sores or lesions that form in the lining of the stomach or the duodenum.
This disorder is caused by stress, chronic intake of certain medicines, unhealthy lifestyle
that weaken the mucous lining of the stomach. A long term of medications and intake of
antibiotics combined with acid reduction therapy. Proper rest and change in lifestyle.
Healthful Practices
1. A diet rich in raw ( vegetable, fruits, nuts) living food should be part of our
daily diet.
2. Food rich in Fiber. They sweep the large intestine to keep it clean and assist
in the elimination of fecal materials.
3. Drinking enough water promotes healthy digestion.
4. Exercise.
