INTRODUCTION:
Many political parties have been emerged from 1947 August 15, when India was
liberated from the colonial rule. In modern democracy, political parties play a great
role. Political party means "competing for power having equal aims and concepts".
We can categorise the political parties into two. They are,
1. National Parties 2. State/Local Parties
A national party should have recognition in at least four states and should get 4% of
the total polled votes.

AIM:
From this project, we may know the important national parties in our country and
also about their aims and their emergence.

COLLECTION OF INFORMATION:
1. We collected the names of the various political parties in India like Telangana
Rashtra Samithi, Telugu Desam party, Bharatiya Janata party, Communisty party,
Congress party.
2. We categorize the national and local parties separately.
3. We collected information about these parties with the help of our elders and
internet.

National Parties:
Along with these, there emerged some local parties in their respective areas.
Eg: To safeguard the self-respect of Telangana people Telangana Rashtra Samithi is
established in 2001 by Chandra Shekar Rai at Siddipet.
