INDIAN SEASONS:
Based on temperature and rainfall, area can be divided into three seasons in
India. They are:
1. Winter (October – February)
2. Summer (March – June)
3. Rainy season (June – September)
ANTHROPOGENIC GLOBAL WARMING (AGW):
Raising of the earth's temperature due to the human activities is called the
Anthropogenic Global Warming.
AFFECT ON AGRICULTURE:
Due to the global warming, droughts, floods, spoiling of crops, scarcity of
grains, suicides of farmers are happening. For eg: Hud - hud cyclone, Ila
cyclone in Kolkata.
ANALYSIS OF INFROMATION:
The above information is collected, analysed and main issues are
formulated like this.
1. The main reason for global warming and climatic changes is the human
activities.
2. Agriculture became a gambling because of global warming and decrease
in rainfall.
3. Once upon a time, our elders sowed a seeds by observing the clouds in the
sky.
4. Now a days, clouds became a decoration to the sky.
5. Due to untimely rainfall, many crops are being damaged when they are at
harvesting stage.
Heavy rains also lead to inundation of low - lying areas at several places.
Gandhari Mandal in Nizamabad record highest rainfall of 48.2 mm.
Incessant rain accompanied by heavy gales lashed several parts of
Telangana causing widespread damage to the standing crops since
Saturday night.
Reports reaching here said turmeric kept for drying in open places,
harvested paddy were inundated due to the rains. Mango orchards were
also hit by the rains.
Toilets, Taps, Showers, Laundry and Dishes.
1994 was the year that federally mandated low - flow showerheads, faucets
and toilets started to appear on the scene in significant numbers.
On average, 10 gallons per day of your water footprint (or 14 % of your
indoor use) is lost to leaks.
Short of installing new water - efficient fixtures, one of the easiest, most
effective ways to cut your footprint is by repairing leaky faucets and toilets.
If you use a low - flow showerhead, you can save 15 gallons of water
during a 10 minute shower.
Every time you shave minutes off your use of hot water, you also save
energy and keep rupees in your pocket.
It takes about 70 gallons of water to fill a bath tub, so showers are generally
the more water - efficient way to bath.
All of those flashes can add up to nearly 20 gallons a day down the toilet.
If you still have a standard toilet, which uses close to 3.5 gallons a flush,
you can save by retro - fitting or filling your tank with something that will
displace some of that water, such as a brick.
Most front - loading machines are energy - and water – efficient, using just
over 20 gallons a load, while most top - loading machines, unless they are
energy - efficient use 40 gallons per load.
CONCLUSION:
If the farmers follow the suggestions given by Agriculture officers and
Weather centre officers and also if they observe the climatic changes
carefully and do agriculture, they can reduce the damage of crops to
maximum extent.
