Aids Given to Nueva Ecija by both and non-profit Organizations

After Typhoon Karding ravaged Nueva Ecija on September 26, 2022, a state of calamity
was declared here. Many private and non-profit organizations provided aid to the victims of
the typhoon because Nueva Ecija was one of the provinces under Tropical Cyclone Wind
Signal No. 5, the strongest warning signal the state weather agency could issue, at the time of
Karding's landfall.

Below is the list of organizations gathered by the group along with documentations and
other details about their operation:

1. Ateneo de Manila University


The Tanging Yaman Foundation and Ateneo Dream Team gave relief to affected
families and communities in Polilio and Borderos Islands, Quezon Province; Aurora,
Batangas, Laguna, and Nueva Ecija. The relief goods include in-kind donations of rice,
canned goods, bottled water, instant noodles, instant coffee, and hygiene kits.

2. Art Relief Mobile Kitchen


The organization cooked an estimated 11,300 meals from September 30 to October 6,
2022 in Nueva Ecija.

3. McDonald’s
The fast food chain giant served over 3,000 meals to the individual and families affected
by the typhoon Karding in Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, and Nueva Ecija.

4. PLDT and Smart


Part of PLDT and Smart’s disaster recovery plan, their Libreng Tawag (free calls),
Libreng Charging (free charging), and Libreng WiFi (free WiFi) stations remain
operational in Nueva Ecija a week after #KardingPH to continue to accommodate the
communication needs of affected residents.

5. For our Farmers PH, Inc.


For our Farmers PH, Inc. Project Sagip was able to give Crop Subsidy to our farmers
severely affected by the Typhoon Karding. The organization was able to help a total of
145 farmers & their families from Nueva Ecija & Tarlac. They received a total
monetary donation worth 71,837.34 pesos as of September 27, 2022.

6. Life Core Philippines


The Disaster And Emergency Response Management Services of Life Core Philippines
lead the assessment of the state of Nueva Ecija’s Evacuation Centers, together with the
Social and Humanitarian Services. Through #TugonNuevaEcija and its founding
organizations Life Core Philippines and Kilos Novo Ecijano , hotmeals were provided
to different evacuation centers and individuals that was affected by devastation of Super
Typhoone Karding.

7. Central A.S. Metal Corporation
Donation of assorted grocery items in partnership with Wheels Project in selected
barangays in Nueva Ecija affected by the typhoon Karding.

8. SMNI Foundation
Relief goods were given to families affected by the typhoon Karding in Bulacan and
Nueva Ecija.

9. SM City Cabanatuan
SM Foundation quickly responded to the onslaught of Typhoon Karding by providing
401 Kalinga Packs to residents who took temporary shelter at Lazaro Francisco
Elementary School in Brgy Isla, Cabanatuan City.

SM City Cabanatuan also provided temporary shelter, free WiFi, charging stations, and
help desk on September 25, 2022.

10. Globe Group


Globe Group provided typhoon relief and opened donor platforms in wake of ‘Karding’
impact.

11. National University Student Government


Project Paglaom Donation drive was organized by the National University Student
Government. The total in-cash donations received as of October 7, 2022 is 20,549.65
pesos of which will be used reach out to our kababayans who were affected by the Super
Typhoon. The donation drive will be done on October 8, 2022, at Brgy. San Vicente,
Gapan City, Nueva Ecija.

12. Kaya Natin – CABataan and Hope & Beyond People's Council
In partnership with Hope & Beyond People's Council NE, Rotary of Cabanatuan, LGU
Jaen and Cabanatuan City Association California donated 200pcs of roof materials
good for 50 families.

14. Vision Himpossible Ministries


10 SACKS OF RICE for Typhoon Karding Relief Operations.
Vision Himpossible Ministries is raising funds to buy 10 sacks of rice for 15 families
in Nueva Ecija who suffered extensive damages from Typhoon Karding.

16. NEECO II- Area 2
The organization provided free charging stations in its offices in 10 towns, and Palayan
City on September 26, 2022. The estimated cost of the free charging station offered is
7,820 pesos.

It is a varsitarian organization established in the University of the Philippines Los Banos
for the purpose of serving their fellow Novo Ecijanos anchored by the principles,
leadership, academic excellence and service.
