1. AFP Siembra together with the BHD León Financial Center, join in the celebration of the
new day of leisure activities, called "Day of Hope". One hundred girls and boys aged 8 to
12 participated in this second version. This edition was held on September 18, 2019 in
Insectolandia, where children could enjoy a morning full of educational fun. That year, as
part of their social responsibility, their direct contribution was made to the Mercy
Network Foundation, which since 2011 has worked with vulnerable children and
teenagers, providing them with protection and attention to their immediate needs,
applying biblical truths for their integral development and integration into society. Those

2. As a closing event of the Stimulation program of the “Yo También Puedo” Foundation,
the launch of the musical "Quiero un Cuento" (I Want a Story) took place on August 14,

objective of impacting lives through an artistic-pedagogical program , promoting
development and stimulation via arts classes in general (music, dance, theatre), protocol,

special cast with actors, actresses and dancers with different abilities members of the
foundation. This musical has a cast of 30 children with different abilities: Down

1. The planting of trees, since our green areas are affected daily by the pollution and
felling of trees, this is a great way to give back to the environment what it has lent us.

homes for low-income families.

1. With the support programs for the Boys and Girls with Don Bosco network, they have
contributed for 12 years to improve the quality of life for more than 60,000 Dominicans a
directly and indirectly. They actively work with the Boys and Girls with Don Bosco
network through various fundraising and collaboration projects, as well as the
development of various programs and actions with the aim of contributing to the
education and livelihood of more than 4,000 children and teenagers participating in the
programs annually. Projects such as the annual fundraising campaigns "Help Us Get
Further", "Help Us Fly Higher", "Program 1+1", "Become a Magician King", "Annual
Book Donation", piggy banks placed in stores, also the design of an exclusive collection
of jewels by designer Laura Tosato; are some of the projects that permanently generate
income to the institution, to benefit directly the young people of the network with training

2. At the retail level, the use of reusable covers in different sizes and formats, the
substitution of environmentally polluting packaging with reusable materials in the dairy
assisted service areas, has been implemented, Sausages and meat, removal of plastic
packaging from 95% of the fruit and vegetable exhibition in favor of bulk displays, the
introduction of PLA (polylactic acid), biodegradable material with 65% less polluting

that the employees of the company, both the highest ranks and the lowest, get involved in
activities to save our lands.

1. With financial inclusion they cover one of the most important social needs, which means
having access to a range of financial products and services that include credit, savings,
insurance, payment systems and pensions; as well as financial education and consumer
protection, which provide the beneficiary with a sustainable and dignified life. Regarding
financial inclusion, their institution maintains its support for human development, micro-
enterprise, and job creation. So, they expand the contributions that they periodically
invest with their ally Caritas Archdiocese of Santiago. On this occasion, they contributed
RD$2 million to the initiatives carried out within the Microcredit Program for
Entrepreneurs and the Children’s Dining Program, both managed by this charitable
institution and focused on vulnerable populations in the provinces of Santiago and

2. As part of the promotion of sustainable environmental business practices, they closed


2014 with 40 photovoltaic offices in operation, making them the main private institution
in the country with the largest volume of solar self-generation: 1.9 megawatts (mW) of

2. A good way to show that the company cares about its clients is to connect with them
personally, by doing recreational activities that involve the entire community, both young
and old, shows how important their clients are.
