Allama Iqbal Medical College/Jinnah Hospital Lahore Experience • Professor & Head of Department Of Pulmonology in Allama Iqbal Medical College since November 2016. • President Pakistan Chest Society (Punjab) (2022-2024) • Associate Professor of Pulmonology/Critical Care Medicine in Services Hospital from November 2012 till October 2016. • Worked as Consultant Pulmonologist in U.A.E in 2011. • Assistant Professor/Associate professor in Pulmonology department and Head of Pulmonology Department in QAMC Bahawalpur from 2001 till 2010. • Worked as Member Anti-Harassment committee AIMC • Patron of Athletic Club AIMC since 2017 • Conducted multiple inquiries at AIMC / JHL • Remained warden of Doctors Hostel at QAMC / BVH • Conducted international conference, CHESTCON as organizing secretary in 2016 • Conducted National Conference, CHESTCON as President and Chairman Organizing Committee in 2023 VISION STATEMENT AS PRINCIPAL AIMC • To get AIMC recognised as one of the best medical college of Pakistan and to provide a highly conductive environment to train undergraduate and postgraduate students and socially responsible healthcare providers who are knowledgeable, skilled and self regulated learners. • To provide evidence based quality health care services with dignity to patient visiting Jinnah Hospital Lahore and to upgrade overall infrastructure of jinnah Hospital Lahore at power with center of excellence. Current Issues of AIMC / JHL • Shabby condition/seepage of hospital building. • Poorly equipped laboratory of basic sciences. • Unavailability of medicines. • Poor learning environment due to broken and out dated lecture theatres. • Absence of senior faculty from ward/indoor/OPD. • Contractors cartelization. • Absence of modern specialties of Medicine and Allied. • Poor condition of doctors hostels. Short Term Plan • Strengthening of medical Education department. • 100% of availability of medicine in Operation Theaters and Emergency department. • Repair and monitoring of minor building issues of AIMC from PLA and student funds. • Renovation and upgradation of lecture theatre with 100% biometric attendance for students and teachers. • Daily monitoring of attendance of senior faculty in Hospital. • Digitalisation of AIMC campus and HMIS at JHL. • To establish a system of accountabilty and discipline for students. Long Term Plan • Submission and approval of schemes in ADP. • Upgradation of Basic Sciences building and laboratories. • Annual procurement calendar with medical and surgical disposals. • Zero LP purchase. • Scheme in ADP revamping of Operation theaters and front elevation. • Revamping of building related issues. • Upgradation of Emergency and trauma services through donations. • Extension of ICU beds. • Airconditioning of the hospital. • Replacement of biomedical equipment laparoscopes, endoscopes, ventilators. • Modular operation theaters. • Security audit and fool proof security system in hostels. • Development of a proper Referral System for Patients.
