SPECIAL PROCEDURES

8.1 Enable ASU Through Windows 10 Pro 20H2 Firewall

NOTE: This function is usually performed during the install process and creates the entries
AvDownloadUtility and AvRSU2RealTime in the allowed programs of the Windows
Firewall.

1) Click Start button at bottom left of screen.

2) Click on Control Panel option.

4) Under the Windows Firewall line, select Allow a program through Windows Firewall.

5) Select the button Change settings.

6) Select the Allow another program… button.

7) Select the Browse... button on the Add a Program window.

8) On Windows 32-bit systems enter or browse to:
C:\Program Files\Avionica\miniQAR\DownloadUtility.exe.

On Windows 64-bit systems enter or browse to:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Avionica\miniQAR\DownloadUtility.exe

9) Select the Open button.

10) On Add a Program window (Figure 8-7), make sure the line miniQAR MkII/MkIII
Download/RealTime Utility is selected.

11) Click Add button on Add a Program window.

12) Set the check box for each network type displayed for the selected Support Utility
Program.

13) Repeat steps 6 through 12 for application RSU2RealTime for 32-bit systems located at:
C:\Program Files\Avionica\miniQAR\RealTime\RSU2RealTime.exe

and for 64-bit systems located at: C:\Program Files

(x86)\Avionica\miniQAR\RealTime\RSU2RealTime.exe.

14) Click OK button and close the other Control Panel windows.

8.2 Disable Network Adapter

Perform this procedure if Set Host IP On Startup dialog box is displayed during return-to-
service.

8.2.1 Disable Network Adapter on WIndows 10 Pro 20H2 or later.

1) On test PC, select Start > Control Panel.

2) On Control Panel menu, select Network and Sharing Center.

3) On Network and Sharing Center menu, select Change adapter settings.

4) On Network Connections menu, right-click on any network except Local Area
Connection and select Disable.

5) Repeat until all networks except Local Area Connection have been disabled.
