Brass Immersion Well (4 Inch)


Order number: 4190-1104, WAC 4190-1104

The immersion well is made of a solid single piece of brass to ensure reliability and durability. It is 4¼ inches
long and extends approximately 2½ inches into the pipe. Sensors (4190-1102, 4190-1103, and 4190-1105) are
shipped with a ½ inch fitting that allows the sensors to screw directly into the well (see the illustration below).
Note: A small amount of thermal compound (4190-1114) is recommended to ensure optimal results.

Mounting the Immersion Well


To mount the well:
1. Install the well into the pipe using a ¾ inch FNPT saddle or Thredolet™ (supplied by other vendors)
Note: To ensure maximum strength, install the well at an angle facing the flow.
2. Fill the well with thermal compound (4190-1114) for optimum temperature sensing.
3. Screw the sensor into the well using the ½ inch MNPT fitting supplied with each sensor (4190-1102, 4190-1103, and
4190-1105).
