‒ A Temple of Learning & Research
AICAR Business School was set up in
2002 by AICAR Trust with the aim of
developing world class leaders and
communicators, capable of providing
leadership through its unique
pedagogy, in all spheres of commerce
and service in any part of the world. A
picturesque campus spread over
33 acres of landscaped green and
undulating grassy mounds, between
Matheran Hills and Ulhas River
provides an excellent academic
environment with facilities such as
gymnasium, swimming pool, indoor &
outdoor sports, that blend modern
management teachings with gurukul
environment.
AICAR Business School offers the
following AICTE approved 2-year full-
time residential programmes:
a. Post Graduate Diploma in
Management (PGDM) with
specializations in Finance, Marketing,
Communication and HR.
b. Post Graduate Diploma in
Banking, Insurance and Finance
Management (PGDM-BIF).
These programmes are designed to
meet the needs of a broad band of
industries. The Institute also provides
advanced Training & Development of
Practising Managers in various
disciplines. It has also set up the
'AICAR-Bhukhanvala Center for
Entrepreneurship Development' to
provide and enhance entrepreneurial
skills of budding entrepreneurs. Its
campus is equipped with air-
conditioned classrooms, library and
reading room, computer laboratory,
Wi-Fi facility, 24x7 internet
connectivity, hostel for more than 200
students, spacious cafeteria and
power backup system.
Through its unique teaching pedagogy

of 'Learning-By-Doing' (LBD), AICAR
prepares students to be uniquely
positioned in industry by mastering
skills of execution through problem
solving and team performance
approach. Intense mentoring by faculty
and industry experts, coupled with
exposure to 'live' projects and
organized collaborative learning of
management elements ensures
wholesome development of the
students.
APTECH and AICAR have formed a
strategic alliance with a vision to
develop AICAR into a Global
Education Hub. Aptech Ltd. ̶ a Global
Learning Solutions Provider operates
in more than 35 countries through
1000+ Centers and is listed at BSE &
NSE. In its history of more than two
decades, Aptech has developed
capability and capacity for world-class
content development, testing and
certification, education and training in
IT and non-IT areas. As a strategic
partner and resource provider, Aptech
supports AICAR in its journey by
creating world class education
practices, forging industry
interfaces/alliances, developing world-
class Course material/content and
expanding current scope of education,
whilst also supporting student
placements.
AICAR's ‘Learning-By-Doing’
pedagogy combines classroom
sessions with home assignments,
case studies and presentations,
individual and group projects, business
games and exposure to 'live' projects
and industry experts. The LBD factor
helps build analytical abilities,
presentation skills, interpersonal skills
through team-work, whilst helping
students to effectively grasp practical
aspects of management fundamentals.
Reinforcing the LBD process is a
project now underway for Eureka
Forbes (Eureka- AICAR Innovation
Lab) to determine the future
aspirations and desires of the rural
population. The study seeks to
establish an understanding and
appreciation of the likely demand for
household durables amongst villagers.
Another study now being done for
Basil Life Care provides excellent
opportunities for our students to
acquire virtual experience and
valuable knowledge in building their
thinking capabilities.
Organized collaborative learning of
Social, Legal, Economic, Political and
Technology (SLEPT) elements help
students acquire deeper
understanding of business/
management issues. We also
endeavour to provide opportunity to
students to work on rural and
community-based social projects in
order to get exposure to rural
behaviour and opportunities.
Teaching material as used by
individual faculty during their sessions,
is made available for continuous
reference, on-time, through our unique
Learner's Management Systems. We
also encourage students to question
concepts, theories and practices in
order to gain practical insight.
Holistic development of students is
ensured through continuous mentoring
and developmental/grooming
sessions. Each faculty acts as a
mentor and guardian for a group of
students and coaches them
continuously on various issues.
Sessions conducted under holistic
development include Experiential
Learning, Self-introspection,
Confidence Building, Meditation and
Awakening of inner-Intelligence.
