They convert DC electricity generated by solar panels into AC electricity for use in
homes or the grid. They continue to evolve to accommodate greater power consumption
while maintaining energy efficiency. Innovations such as microinverters continue to
create power supplies through new technologies.

Cell Phones - Phones are a significant recipient of technological advancement as one of

the main staples of almost everyone. They constantly receive processing power, camera
capabilities, battery life, and connectivity upgrades over the years. The integration of 5G
technology, foldable screens, and AI-powered features like voice recognition and facial
recognition demonstrates their continuous evolution to meet the demands of modern
consumers.

3D Printing - 3D printing technology continues to be modified with new materials, faster

printing speeds, and higher precision. Innovations in bioprinting, aerospace components,
and even food printing are pushing the boundaries of what's possible. These
developments make 3D printing a vital tool across various industries with opportunities
to improve in the future.

Augmented Reality - Augmented reality is an ever-evolving technology with many

applications, from gaming to healthcare and education. AR brings immersive
experiences to its users, and current advancements have further improved this aspect
for consumers. AR glasses, for instance, are being refined to deliver richer visual
overlays and improved interaction with the physical world.

Robotics - Robotics has been a major player in the league of technological journey. As a
field requiring both software and hardware, it benefits from both and has continued to
dish out better, more efficient machines. Robots are becoming more autonomous, agile,
and capable of handling complex tasks. Innovations include soft robotics for safer
human-robot interactions and the integration of AI for decision-making and learning.

Voice Assistants - Siri, Alexa, Cortana, and other voice assistants are a prominent
addition to user devices that bring out more capability and efficiency to their users.
Technological advancements make voice assistants more capable in AI, natural
language processing (NLP), and machine learning. They also integrate with many smart
home devices, expanding their functionality and usefulness.
Graphic Processing Unit (GPU) - The PC Master Race is a subculture steeming from
advancements in the PC and its auxiliaries. As one of its main components, GPUs
continued to improve over the years, with Nvidia as one of its leading brands with its
latest GeForce RTX 4090 and AMD with the Radeon RX 7900 XTX. These units boasts
improved performance of PCs and 4k quality graphics capable of handling high-
frequency displays.

Camera - The camera has long evolved to capture better, clearer, and more efficient
media. Digital cameras, both standalone and integrated into other devices like
smartphones, receive frequent upgrades. These upgrades often include higher-
resolution sensors, improved low-light performance, and advanced image-processing
algorithms.

Smart Watches - Smartwatches like the Apple Watch are continually modified with new
sensors, health-tracking capabilities, and connectivity options. They are becoming more
independent from smartphones, offering features like cellular connectivity and app
ecosystems that make them increasingly versatile.

Telecommunication - Telecommunication networks continue to undergo significant

improvements in the present through the deployment of 5G networks, which offer faster
data speeds, lower latency, and greater network capacity. This technology enables
many innovations, including enhanced mobile internet experiences, real-time
communication for remote work and collaboration, and the proliferation of IoT devices for
smart cities and industries.

2. List five products that are not currently on the market that could be helpful to us and will
most likely be designed by engineers and others.

Quantum Levitation-Based Transport - Quantum levitation is a hypothetical concept

employing the properties of quantum physics to make superconductors float over a
magnetic source. This concept could revolutionize urban mobility, making transportation
more efficient, eco-friendly, and faster than traditional methods. Engineers might develop
this concept to create a futuristic mode of transportation. Furthermore, the successful
application of quantum levitation means frictionless machines, which can be utilized in
energy conservation.

Cryogenesis - As of now, cryogenesis is a theoretical technology with very little

existence in the present. It could rapidly freeze and preserve human organs, tissues, or
even entire bodies at ultra-low temperatures, which could significantly advance organ
transplantation and potentially extend human life.

Genetic Manipulation - While genetic manipulation techniques like CRISPR-Cas9

already exist, future advancements could allow for more precise and efficient genetic
editing. Engineers and biotechnologists may design advanced genetic manipulation tools
and methods with a broader range of applications, from curing genetic diseases to
enhancing crops for agriculture.

Nanotechnology - Nanorobotics, while being currently utilized in certain aspects of

healthcare and medical technology, can have a much wider range of applications in the
future. These advancements extend to consumer products, space exploration, quantum
computing, biotechnology, and beyond, promising a future where nanotechnology is
pivotal in addressing complex challenges and driving progress across various fields.

3D Printing for Infrastructure Building - 3D printing technology is already used for small-
scale projects. However, engineers are exploring the potential for using it in large-scale
infrastructure construction. The construction of buildings, bridges, and other structures
quickly using 3d printing will make it cost-effective as well. This innovation could
transform the construction industry and make infrastructure development more
sustainable.

3. List five Internet-based services that are not currently available but that you think will
eventually become realities

AI Integration Into Social Media - In the future, we may see AI-driven social media
services that offer more personalized content, enhanced moderation to combat online
harassment, and improved content recommendation systems. For example, GMA
recently announced the implementation of AI sportscasting during the ongoing NCAA
games. These AI integrations could significantly improve user experiences and safety on
social media platforms.

Simulations - Advanced internet-based simulations could become a reality, allowing

users to engage in realistic virtual experiences for education, training, and
entertainment. Seamless immersion can bring the complete experience of a completely
virtual experience to a user in the future. These simulations could range from lifelike
historical reenactments to immersive training scenarios for various professions.

Complete XR Functionality - The idea of extended reality fully integrating human

perception into virtual simulations has been a long-term discussion since the emergence
of virtual reality. One of its greatest references is the anime Sword Art Online or the
movie Ready Player One, among many other virtual reality-related media. Seamless XR
