Scott had never tried scuba diving, but he wanted to. While reading the
newspaper at his brother's house, he saw the following advertisement from a
travel agency for a trip to Australia:
Have you ever tried scuba diving?
Well, this is your chance!
Join us on a ten-day trip to Australia and scuba dive in the Great Barrier Reef!
The Great Barrier Reef is one of the most beautiful places in the world.
You are going to see wonderful animals and colorful fish that swim close to you. You
are going to see amazing plants that are not like anything you have seen before.
Bring your camera! This is the perfect place for pictures.
After he read this advertisement, Scott decided to try it. He called his friend
Tim.
"Have you ever tried scuba diving?" Scott asked.
"No, I haven't," Tim replied. "Why?"
“I want to take a trip to Australia and go scuba diving,” Scott told him.
"To the Great Barrier Reef?" Tim asked.
"Yes. Do you want to come?" Scott asked.
"Sure. I have never taken a trip that far before," Tim responded.
"OK. Let's plan it for the summer," Scott said.
Three months later, Scott and Tim were on a boat with several other people.
The weather was nice. The water was clear blue, and they had a scuba diving
instructor with them. They were very excited to try this wonderful activity.
