Presenting a Declaration Piece in Front of Many People: A Courageous Journey
I'm not an introverted person, but I am not comfortable speaking in front of
many people. Actually, one of the things that I am afraid to do is showcase myself to everyone. I feel like all of them can see every inch of me. I feel like they can see my flesh and bones. I feel like they are judging me for every step I take. It's absurd to say, but that's what I really feel. My journey in presenting a declaration piece to everyone takes a lot of courage. I was able to collect myself and build my confidence. I practice my articulation to have an effective way of delivering the piece. I was able to learn a lot of lessons because of this activity, and I think it's my calling to share these things with everyone. First of all, to have a successful presentation, you must face your fear. The fear that you are having can be paralyzing and can make you feel more nervous. Second, you need to choose a declaration piece that can show a lot of emotions and a piece that you admire. By doing so, you can practice your thoughts and the delivery of the piece. This will help you boost your confidence to present in front of many people. Lastly, nerves may still be present on the day of the presentation, but it is important to remain confident and face them. In times of uncertainty, taking deep breaths and reminding yourself of the importance of words can be empowering. The process of entering the stage represents overcoming fear and doubt. It becomes clear that your voice matters and that your message has weight as eyes look towards you. You motivate people to pay close attention to you by speaking each word with passion and beauty. That's how I made it! A special thanks and appreciation to my subject teacher, Ms. Chezie. She is the one who motivates me and pushes me out of my shell.
