Abstract
This section contains the summary of the report. It must include the short introduction, methodology,
results and discussion, and conclusion. The abstract must only be one (1) paragraph. Additionally, the
spacing is strictly 1.0 and is justified. The abstract must not contain any in-text citations.

I. Introduction
This section contains the
background information needed for the
experiment. This must include any
principles, theories, and concepts being
tackled. Citations can be included in this
section, and any supporting figures or
images can be placed as long as they
follow the format in Figure 1.0 and Image
1.0.

II. Objectives
The objectives of the experiment
must be stated in sentence form. It must be
parallel to the objectives stated in the
manual/experiment guide.

III. Methodology
The methodology includes all the
procedures performed during the

experiment. It must be in sentence form, and direct copying of the experiment guide is
discouraged.

IV. Results
All results must be presented here. Raw data is discouraged. The data presented must be
clear and its presentation must be parallel to the procedures in the methodology.

V. Discussion
Analysis of the results must be seen in this section. Data must be interpreted and
explained. Students can use citations and theories previously stated in the introduction as further
evidence. Opinions of the presented data must never be included.

VI. Conclusion
Conclusions do not contain any citations, raw data, or figures. It is NOT a summary of
the data; rather it answers the questions posed by the objectives. It is in paragraph form.

VII. References
Citation must follow the American Psychological Association (APA) format. References must be
in hanging indent format and with single spacing.
To create a hanging indent (such as this one), highlight the citation and right click. Select
paragraph, and under the Indentation → Special tab, select hanging.
