CLF MEETING, 22ND June 22, 2023

The Clf is a monthly program that we are running. Therefore, I hope that we all engage ourselves. Its also
an international program. I participated last in Korea for the 3 months pastoral course and then came
back to my station in sowutoum which ive been for 7 years. I then moved to the headquarters, Tema in
2020 during the corona pandemic era. I really didn’t want to come to the headquarters because there
are a lot of duties and responsibilities to be fulfilled here. I almost gave up the battle, yet Rev Moon, the
country director moved into me and directed me where I needed to be focus on. In focusing, there are
lots of confusion and challenges faced. I battled with my heart for almost 2 to 3 days. I asked my wife and
children not come close to me and then locked myself in my room, meditating before the Lord if I should
move or quit the ministry.

Rev Moon shared a word with me from the book of Act 4:32 and this has a become a strong word in my
heart whenever I remember that very day and ive been sharing this testimony to a lot of people (even
before the 3000 ministers in Korea last year). As church leaders, we do not want to talk about our
weakness and infirmities to people. We normally want to share the good testimonies we have. We
should know precisely where we are coming from so that sharing our weakness wouldn’t be a problem,
through that when we are going wayward, God reminds us of who we are and brings us back. When we
are able to remember who are, it makes us very humble and helps you focus on God once again. Every
human wants to do only rightful things, but we are not made that way. God knew that man will one day
go against him, but that wasn’t a problem to him. If God didn’t know that, he would have created Man
with gold or diamond so that when we are going through any difficulties, you cut a piece of yourself and
sell. Even that, it will be difficult to rely on God because you wouldn’t need anything from him. Yet God
been so, wise used dust to create Man. Even though we polish ourselves, God makes us remember we
are dust.

In act 4:32, when I had that challenge of not wanting to come to the headquarters Rev explained to me.
He asked me this question; before the multitudes came to one heart, they we having individual hearts,
right? Without bringing their hearts together, can they have the heart of Jesus? The multitude that
believed were of one heart and one soul. Before coming to Jesus, the first step is to deny yourself.
Without denying yourself, meeting the heart of Jesus will be very difficult. There are people already in
Jesus yet they still carry themselves. That is why when they face a condition that is good, they praise
God. And when they encounter bad conditions, they complain and blame themselves. When it happens
like that you live in condemnation in spiritual life. When I live a spiritual life depending on myself, my
focus is going to be on me doing good. When it happens like that, you start praising yourself and then
you live in condemnation. Youre bold and confident when you see yourself doing good, but the moment
you lose confidence you lose yourself then you start asking yourself if you are a believer.

These words from Rev changed my heart. If I am a believer of Christ, my focus shouldn’t be on myself
(whether I am doing good or bad). My focus should be the one whom I have come to believe. Then he
would say; when you do good, its for my glory, and when you do bad, I have taken it away. There are
many stories in the bible, especially when we look through the book of Luke 10. There was a man who
journeyed from Jerusalem to Jericho. He met thieves and they beat him and left him half dead. It means
that he had a lot of goods on him. I recently met armed robbers at the ashaiman overhead while walking
with my wife and 7-year-old son. That was after having a conference at ablekuma. That day, the car of
Rev Moon had a problem so I gave him mine to use to his area. We went to ashaiman to pick a car to the
place. Getting a car to the place and returning is a little bit difficult especially during the night. We
decided to walk a bit by the overhead because there was no car. All of sudden 2 guys rushed on us with a
knife, on my wife’s neck and the other on me and demanded me to bring my phone. So, I did. This was in
September after I returned from Korea, so the phone was a new one I had from Korea. They took my bag
and bible, pushed my son somewhere and took my wife’s bag containing her phone and lens. They
started searching on us if they’ll find any money, so I said; I am preacher and I have nothing. I
remembered I didn’t unpack my stuffs after I came back from cote d’ivoire so I had my passport, Ghana
card and other documents. When they took all these, my son started crying. One of them started rushing
to my son, so in my mind, I thought they wanted to carry my son along. In my heart I said today is do and
die. Then I also rushed with anger, so the other one my wife moved and then cut me with the knife. My
leg become very stiff. Due to the cry of my son, people started coming down and the thieves jumped
down the overhead. Going back, I felt my trouser wet on my thigh and that was when I realized I was
hurt. I didn’t tell my wife and son I was hurt because it was late and they will panic, so I endured. I was
deeply wounded when I got home and the blood was clotted. I then took a first aid alone in the
bathroom. I went to the hospital yesterday and had them sew it. two weeks later it was removed and I
was okay. Today I am testifying this in front of the best pastors in the world. I have no idea what the man
who was travelling to Jerusalem had but probably he was struggling with the robbers. My dad told me it
was 100% God who protected me because it would have been my neck stomach or wherever and that
would be all. Then he said; God is with you and I will believe that God that you serve. He is 93 years of
age. Now his has been opened so much towards the word of God. Initially when I preach him the word,
he always disagrees on believing and beholding the lamb of God.

Today I will read from 2 kings 2:9-10

The theme for this month’s Clf is; behold the lamb of God. What is need of beholding the lamb of God. If
there’s no need then the scripture wouldn’t record it written this very way. Those who have come to
notice and realize this exactly, they move their focus to the lamb. Therefore, their problem is no more
their neither are their good deeds and their everything belongs to the one they behold. This is very
important in our spiritual life. There is a president called Lula in Brazil. The person you respect the most,
you do not joke with such person’s word. He is the current president of Brazil and has been a president 3
times and it’s not easy for this to happen. When he was in class 4. His mom was ill and on her sick bed
she called her son and said; this world is full of difficulties and hardships, but soon I will leave this world
and have nothing to offer you, but listen to this carefully, I feel so sad leaving you in this world, but my
son, whatever conditions youre facing int this world, you should say it is Okay, it is good and everything
will be fine. Some few hours later she died after saying these to her son. Now Lula had to face the world
by himself. One day he was very hungry and then remembered the words his mom said to him and it
became power to his heart and he was able to overcome what he was going through and then moved on
in life. Looking at things Lula didn’t have a good educational background but how come he became the
president of Brazil. Its not an easy thing to become a president in brasil. As he was growing, these 3 key
words was leading and protecting him. His focus wasn’t on anything but the words of his mom. Even
though his mom passed away, her words remained alive in the heart of Lula. As he was growing, he had
a company work and unfortunately, one of the machines he was using cut off one of his fingers. He was
sent to the hospital by the company and he still had the words of his mom at heart. He was been treated
and instead of the company compensating him, they sacked him. He overcame that with the words of his
mom too. He grew and got married. His wife had issues with her pregnancy and there was no money to
pay for that. Eventually, he lost both his wife and unborn child. In that condition, what will you do as a
man? Can you go by these words? As pastors and church leaders what will you if this happens to one of
your church members? What we do is to give comfort words and support. Lula still overcame that
condition with these 3 key words also. With the word of his mom, he entered into politics. He was
despised when he joined and moreover, he has lost one of his fingers. Even we with 5 fingers people
sometimes do not respect us. Yet he remembered his mom’s words. The group he joined was arrested so
he put into prison, he still remembered his mom’s words. After he came out of prison, he stood as a flag
bearer and in 2003 he become a president and was loved by his citizens. He was voted into power for
the second time again. For the third time he is a president of Brazil. Thinking deeply, the only thing that
he beheld was the word of his mom, regardless the conditions he faced. Now, the word of Lula’s mom
and the word of God, which values most and has more authority and power? Whenever we face any
challenges and difficulties, we have to look closely into our heart.

In 2 Kings 2, Elisha was following Elijah, yet he prevented him from following him but Elisha followed him
to the very end. After Elisha explained everything to him, he told to ask for anything he wants and he
said; I want a double portion of your spirit. Elijah said, you have asked a great thing, nevertheless, when
you see me been taken it will occur to you according to your request. Amen! What will be the focus of
Elisha from then on? When Elisha is going through any difficulties, now his focus has to be on his master.
Whiles we are in this ministry, there are times we encounter so many difficulties and problems,
sometimes the focus Is changed from where we need to focus and we turn to different directions. The
scripture is showing us to Behold. In John 1:29, when Jesus received baptism from John the Baptist, the
next day when John saw Jesus coming, he said; behold the lamb of God who takes the sins of the world.
Let’s ask ourselves, are we beholding to ourselves or the Lamb of God? The world we live in is full of sin,
everything we do is sin. The bible is telling us not to behold ourselves if not the little good we do, we
become happy and feel good. If we do otherwise, we feel condemned. That is why the scripture is telling
us to behold the lamb of God. Jesus came to John Baptist when he was baptizing people into repentance.
And John said; I am not the one giving salvation, but my baptism is into repentance for that purpose I
came into this world. Meaning he was preparing the people to meet the work of Jesus Christ. In the old
days, the high priest interceded for the people of Israel when they commit sin as the mediator. Two goats
are been killed, one sent into the wilderness and the other killed in the temple. Meaning the animals
bared the sins of Israel, and a shadow of good things to come (Jesus who was to come). When John met
Jesus, he said to him; Baptize me yet John degreed.

In the book of Matthew 3:15, John said to Jesus; you have to baptize me. Didn’t Jesus Christ know what
he was about doing in this world? He knew! John was confused. In the old days, Aaron stood in for the
people of Israel by laying his hands on the lamb and then confessing the sins of the people of Israel and
it’s done once a year. Leviticus 4:27 talks about the common people’s sins. Chapter 16:34 talks about all
the sins of Israel. And it’s the priest only who enters the holiest of Holy with the blood and sprinkle it on
the ark for 7 times. As he enters, he would be chained because any priest who enters the holiest of holy
without a blood is stroked by God. Those sacrifices were shadows of good things to come and they were
all done on the earthly tabernacle which God asked Moses to build in the wilderness so that the children
of Israel sins will be washed and have one heart with God.in other words, God wouldn’t have accepted
the children of Israel if they did otherwise, so they had to do exactly what God asked them to do. Aaron
was there as John the Baptist met Jesus. Jesus in those days represent the lamb sacrificed for their sins.
Before John laid his hands to baptize Jesus (Matthew 3:14-15). John needed to baptize Jesus to fulfill all
righteousness. When John understood what Jesus said, he laid his hand on him and baptized him.
Meaning, Jesus is showing us that he would die and be buried. When he came out of the water, it means
he would resurrect once again. John 1:28-29. Jesus knew what he had received from John the baptize
when he laid his hands on him yet John didn’t. Why did john tell the people to behold the lamb of God?
This is because he realized there has been a change. Where then are our sins gone to? To the lamb! John
said; behold the lamb of God who takes away thew sins of the world. Jesus came to do this very thing for
us; therefore, we should look at Jesus. John 1:32 and verse 36…the Lamb of God (Jesus) has taken away
our sins.

What then is our testimony now a days? Do we say we are righteous only when we do good, and sinners
when we do bad? John is saying; Behold the Lamb of God who takes the sins of the world. In Luke 16,
what happened to the man of Jericho, he was been beaten and left half dead and that was when he met
the good Samaritan and he was ben treated, carried on his animal and sent to the inn keeper to be taken
care of and gave out 2 pennies. He told the inn keeper to take care of him so when he returns, he will
pay any debts remaining. Now the man became the responsibility of the Samaritan.

Lula never focused on his difficulties but only on the words of his mom. I strongly refused to come here
when I was asked to, I would rather quit the ministry, I said to myself. Rev said this is a grace God is giving
me, through this I would remember who I am tomorrow. Another change occurred and I had to go and
testify to the other Pastors on the book of Act 2:32, one mind, one heart, one soul. The multitudes
denied themselves to follow Jesus. There are people who can’t deny themselves and end believing in
their thoughts ruining their spiritual lives. Satan is deceiving so many people in this world. As ministers,
when are members are increasing, you say my preaching is correct and developing. This happened to me
before and then I started blaming others. No matter what happens, our focus should be on Jesus.

Hebrews 12:1-2…one day our founder encountered a very big problem. it was announced on one of the
international tv station that our founder is an occult and that the good News Mission Church is an
occultic church. When the ministers in the missing heard that, they run to the Head’s office. They came
saying it’s because of the news they heard yesterday and he asked them; don’t you have your bibles? He
told them to open to the book of Matthew 5:11-12… he read this to them. And told them to rejoice.
They had a pastors meeting and shared their testimonies saying they never lived like him and his life is
teaching them.

The will of God was great in the heart Jesus more than his own will. He only focused on Gods will which
is our righteousness and for us to become holy, justified and know our sins have been taken away. Jesus
said, let your will be done. Amen! Pastor Park said, God is my creator therefore, whatever conditions I go
through and the difficulties, I only obey my master. When we focus on the conditions we end up in the
conditions.

In 1 Samuel 30, David wept when Ziglag was burnt, but in verse 6 he encouraged himself in the Lord. He
moved from his situations and faced God. God told him to pursue and he would recover all with that
faith. The word became pillar in the heart of David. He went ahead to tell his 600 men yet they didn’t
want to listen, yet he still spoke the word. Are we living with the word. How we become sinner or
righteous does not depend on any of us.

Romans 5:19… with the disobedience of one man, we all became sinners (Romans 3:23) …verse 24 says
righteousness came through one man. Those who are beholding on themselves are still sinners but
those who are beholding on the lamb are righteous. You have been Justified with our sins all gone. I
asked at a funeral service while preaching if they knew this song; once I was a sinner saved by grace, and
they all said yes. After singing this song, they come and ask for forgiveness from God. They don’t
meditate. We all became righteous through the obedience of one man without doing anything. The
gospel is the power of God. Romans 1:16… the prophet Isaiah spoke a lot about Jesus who was to come
(Isaiah 17 and 40). They all pointed to Jesus. Same as Abraham, he only focused on God with his faith.

Amen!
