1 This Petition is filed for leave under clause XII of the Letters

Patent.

2 This proposed Suit is filed for damages for loss suffered by the

Plaintiff on account of defamation. In the jurisdiction clause 33 it is stated

that the defamation has been caused at Mumbai as the impugned

Instagram posts issued by the Defendant, the effect of which was felt in

Mumbai. However, the Defendant is residing outside Mumbai.

3 I am satisfied that material part of the cause of action has

arisen within the jurisdiction of this Court, with leave granted under clause

XII of the Letters Patent, this Court will have jurisdiction to entertain trial

and try to the suit.

4 Hence, leave granted. Petition is made absolute.
