This small church is a powerful exploration in pure platonic form.
Simply built of brick and with a corrugated roof, the triangular
prism is complemented by a freestanding bell tower. The building
is economical, practical and modest. Patel’s interest in platonic
form can also be seen in institutional and commercial projects.

achievement in the whole range of Indo-Islamic architecture. Its
recognised architectonic beauty has a rhythmic combination of

One of the most significant of Mies' works, the Farnsworth
House in Plano, Illinois, was built between 1945 and 1951
for Dr. Edith Farnsworth as a weekend retreat. The home
embraces his concept of a strong connection between
structure and nature, and may be the fullest expression of
his modernist ideals.

The home sits in a clearing within a dense grove of mango
trees. Rooms are loosely arranged around a central space
to create a protected courtyard, securing the inhabitants
while mediating the surrounding landscape.
