SEEKERS OF THE TRUTH

The Roadmap from Desire to the Battlefield

We Praise Allah (azza wajal) in all conditions, for it is His command and will that prevails, and we send Salaat and Salaam
upon His Messenger, the Imam of the Mujahideen Nabi Muhammed ‫ ﷺ‬, his family and companions.

Alhamdulillah, Muslims globally have been inspired and united by the Jihad in the land of Al Quds, the resounding
victories achieved thus far, and the remarkable patience displayed by the Mujahideen and our brothers and sisters in
Gaza.

The cowardice of the Jewish State, which is the face of the evil alliance of disbelief headed by the USA, and its European
cronies, the UK, France and Germany, is plain for all to see. We will never forget their merciless, barbaric attacks on our
mothers, our sisters, and our children. The blood of the Ummah will be avenged, insha Allah.

Alhamdulillah, an increasing number of Muslims from around the globe are displaying a sincere desire to participate
physically in the Jihad, and to contribute their wealth to the Jihad. What is the roadmap which takes us on the journey
from desire to martyrdom or victory?

First, we thank Allah, that by His permission the desire to join the armies of Haqq and participate in Jihad have been
rekindled. We are reminded of the following hadith of Nabi Muhammad ‫ﷺ‬

Abu Hurairah (RAA) narrated that The Messenger of Allah (‫ )ﷺ‬said “He who dies without having gone or thought of going
out for Jihad in the Cause of Allah, will die while being guilty of having one of the qualities of hypocrisy.” Related by
Muslim.

Our yearning to be a part of the Jihad and our endeavours to participate in it will insha Allah protect us from the nifaaq
referred to in this hadith.

We must however be cautious not to fall into the category of those who proclaim a desire to fight, but do not prepare
for it, because when Allah differentiates between the Believers and the munafiqeen , He (azza wajal) says

'Those who believe in Allāh and the Last Day would not ask to be exempted from fighting with their wealth and their
lives. And Allāh is Knowing of those who fear Him.'

“No one would ask for exemption except those who have no faith in Allah or the Last Day, and whose hearts are in
doubt,so due to their doubts they waver.”

'Had they truly intended to march forth to fight, they would have certainly made some preparation for it. But Allah was
averse to their going forth, so He made them lag behind, and they were told "Stay behind with those that are staying
behind.' (Surah Al Tawbah ayaat 44-46)

Jihad involves preparation, training, strategy, endurance, constancy and persistence. It is not a once off, emotional
response. Our passion and genuine desire to help and be part of the Jihad must find expression in a disciplined, focused
pursuit to prepare and add value to the Mujahideen and the Jihad.

Allah , the Majestic, the Sovereign issues a clear instruction to the believers to prepare for Jihad

'And prepare against them whatever you are able of power and of steeds of war by which you may terrify the enemy of
Allah and your enemy'. (Surah Al Anfaal ayah 60)

The Prophet (‫ )ﷺ‬has explained clearly to his companions what “power” means in the context of preparation for Jihad

‘Uqba b. ‘Amir informed that he heard God's Messenger say when he was on the pulpit, “Prepare for them as much
strength as you can. Strength is shooting; strength is shooting; strength is shooting.”

We discuss briefly key elements of the preparation:

1. Niyyah

2. Knowledge

3. Preparation for fighting

4. Purpose and strategy

5 Vigilance against the cowards

Niyyah

We must ensure that we have sincerity, and that we fight only for Allah, in His cause, to defend the ummah and Islam
,and to raise the word of Allah.

Knowledge

Knowledge and understanding is what leads to steadfastness and patience- the road of Jihad is a long, difficult and lonely
one.

Without a determination that is grounded in the correct understanding of the obligation to fight, the punishment for
remaining behind (and not doing anything) whilst the believers and the deen of Allah are being attacked, the reward for
marching forth, the unparalleled status and honour given to the martyrs, and the miniscule value of this world in
comparison to the hereafter, the chances of remaining steadfast are very slim.

A pillar of the Deen that has been deliberately supressed is the understanding of Al Walaa wal Baraa - to have allegiance
and disavowal for the sake of Allah alone. We join with the believers and we distance ourselves from the Kufaar. This is
our way, this is our path and we embrace it wholeheartedly and unapologetically.

When we view Kufr as the 'other', our unity will increase and our sense of purpose will increase. We will then, as we
must, view everything that emanates from the system of disbelief with the disdain that it deserves-their secular
education, their riba based economies, their inhumane medical and pharmaceutical industries, their unjust legal
systems, their immorality and perversion and their institutionalised oppression.

So many of the ills foisted upon the Ummah are manifestations of our failure to identify disbelief as the enemy. We are
consequently hoodwinked into supporting deviant pursuits such as interfaith, participation in kufr politics, and displaying
deference to systems that rule by other than Allah’s law. We have no business being content living under kufr, let alone
becoming willing participants in the systems of disbelief –all of which challenge Allah’s sovereignty.

Allah informs us that the nation of disbelief is one. Allah gives us an insight into the hearts of disbelievers when He says

‘They want to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths” 61 8

‘Oh You who believe, do not take for your intimates such outsiders as spare no effort to ruin you and want to see you
suffer their hatred is evident from their mouths, but what their hearts conceal is far worse’ or ‘The Jews and the
Christians will never be pleased with you unless you follow their ways.’ 3 118

‘Allah is the Guardian of those who believe, He brings them out of every darkness into light. And those who disbelieve,
their guardians are the evil ones; they bring them out of light into all kinds of darkness. These are destined for the Fire,
and there shall they abide.’ 2 257

Sadly, Muslims have deliberately been misled to ignore or distort this fundamental arm’s length and hostile relationship
with Kufr , because our enemies know that this understanding will destroy their efforts to prevent Islam from being
dominant.
If we continue to believe that the structures of kufr are neutral- if we continue to adopt their language and analysis, and
use words like terrorists, extremists, fundamentalists, human rights, and self- determination, all of which destroys our
Aqeedah -if we continue to seek justice from the structures the disbelievers created and designed to keep our Khilafa
dismantled- if we believe we can fight them whilst respecting and considering ourselves bound by the laws they
designed and implemented to fight us, then we are doomed to failure. There is no obedience to the creation in the
disobedience of the Creator.

The complete and total rejection of kufr and the desire to establish Allah’s law and sovereignty on earth is what inspired
the Sahaba to leave the comfort of their homes and join the Muslim armies as they marched far and wide, relentlessly,
liberating masses of people from the shackles of disbelief, and replacing disbelief with the purity and justice of Islam. We
have to abandon immediately the curse of feeling inferior, that so many Muslims live with. The world is in turmoil and we
hold the key to mankind’s salvation. Allah has made the Muslims His vicegerents upon the earth- how can we shy away
from fulfilling such an honourable role?

Preparing for the Qital (fighting)

A disciplined and ongoing program of preparation for warfare is required, and it must start now. This includes learning
skills such as shooting, physical fighting and combat, and developing the qualities required for warfare. The very qualities
that define a believer creates the perfect soldier- Qualities such as discipline, patience, courage grounded in an
understanding that all power and might is only with Allah, and an acceptance of Qadr.

As regards our weaponry skills- the Quranic injunction is clear-we must prepare from what we are able. We should strive
to do our best.

We have to do what Allah has commanded, and not what the laws of the kuffaar dictate we may. They actively seek to
disarm us and present ‘peaceful resistance” as the only legitimate opposition to their dhulm, whilst they arm themselves
to the teeth! Allah warns us about this in Quran

‘The disbelievers would wish to see you neglect your weapons and belongings, so they could launch a sweeping assault
on you.'

Those who are trained and who seek to train must ally with trusted brothers among the mujahideen. Steer clear of
broadcasting plans and strategy. Discipline and secrecy are paramount. The Prophet (‫ )ﷺ‬has stated that war is deception-
we must deceive the enemy –it is part of the strategy of war.

Contribute generously to the Jihad- use your Zakat, Sadaqah and Lillah to fund the Mujahideen.

We are in this for the long haul, so be patient brothers and sisters.
Purpose and Strategy

Jihad is not restricted to a land, or people- it is universal. We make no distinction between the Jihad in different parts of
the world. All Muslim blood is equal , priceless , and worth more, according to an authentic hadith, than the Ka’ba.

The purpose of Jihad in the short term is to stop the flow of Muslim blood, and to free the prisoners.

The long term objective is to establish Allah’s authority upon the earth. This goal demands strategic planning. Our
Ummah of 1.6 billion is rich with the resources required.

It only requires the Ummah to awake from their slumber and reclaim the roles Allah has tasked us with

'And fight against them until there is no fitnah and [until] the religion [i.e., worship], all of it, is for Allāh. And if they
cease - then indeed, Allāh is Seeing of what they do.' (Surah Al Anfaal ayah 39).

‘Fight them; Allah will punish them by your hands and will disgrace them and give you victory over them and satisfy the
breasts of a believing people’ (Surah Al Tawbah ayah 14)

Nabi (‫ )ﷺ‬said ‘’When you partake in usury, hold on to the tails of cattle, become satisfied with cultivation and abandon
Jihād, Allah will send upon you humiliation and He will not remove it until you return back to your religion.” Abu Dāwūd
(no. 3462)

Vigilance against the cowards

Many cowards in this Ummah will try to convince you that you are not ready to make the transaction with Allah and join
the path of Jihad. They cite everything from spiritual deficiency to weakness to discourage you from fulfilling the
obligation of Jihad . Their approach must be dismissed with contempt.

Preparations for Jihad run concurrently and must commence immediately – the aspects of preparation we have
highlighted are intended to provide a guide to transforming desire to action- it is not intended to dissuade anyone and
certainly not intended to convey the impression that Jihad is not compulsory until one has skills. The opposite is true.
The obligation is immediate- make the transaction with Allah now, and commence with preparations forthwith.

Allah instructs us to “go forth whether we are light or heavy” 9 41 . This establishes that the obligation to fight exists, in
spite of any weakness we may suffer from.

The steps we take to prepare will be a good benchmark to determine our commitment to this honourable path.

May Allah grant us sincerity, knowledge, courage and love for Him, the Deen and the Ummah May he honour us with
accepting us into the ranks of the mujahideen, and granting us martyrdom.
