    Nurses are increasingly called to provide spiritual care to patients, yet there remains a lack of consensus about the definition of spiritual care and how it should be integrated into nursing practice. A review of literature on spiritual nursing care found that it is considered a vital part of holistic care and is associated with improved patient outcomes.
