1. Draw two forces acting on the box in an inclined slope, a) The weight of the object
and b) the normal (or reaction) force, R. Then split weight into two components one
parallel to the slope, and one perpendicular to it.

4. Think of a golf ball that's hit into the air. One force acting on the ball is the force of
the initial hit, and it consists of an angle and magnitude. Another force might be the
wind, which has its own angle and magnitude. Add these 2 forces, see figure, and
describe the resulting travel of the ball. Use trigonometry to find the angle of the
resultant vector.
