Global Demography is the study of population worldwide like birth, death, and
migration. It provide us the information about the growth of the population in our
world. This helps business to analyze the cultural, social and the economic related
to population. Demographic change can have an impact on the economy’s
underlying growth rate, structural productivity growth, living standards, savings
rates, consumption, and investment; it can also have an impact on the long-run
unemployment rate and equilibrium interest rate, housing market trends, and
demand for financial assets. Demography has an impact on every aspect of our
lives, from the global economy and social policy to city planning and climate
change. Globalization has a direct impact on demographic processes. These
include population movements within and across national borders, health and
fertility outcomes, and changes in age structure.
Thought Paper No. 8 – Write your perspective on the Population Density of
Philippines.
Philippines have a large number population. In the past period, the number of our
population grew. Our country ranks number 13 in the list of population. The
population density in the Philippines is 368 per Km2 (952 people per mi2) based
on “Worldometer”. For me, one of the reason why we have a large of population
is because of teenage pregnancy, during the pandemic, the number of young
women getting pregnant increased. And also, the lack of knowledge on family
planning. But, also, during of pandemic, lots we must pay attention to the
teaching of family planning and how to use different types of contraception so
that we can control the growth of our population to people and how to use
different types of contraception so that we can control the growth of our
population, because in the future, if we can't control the increase in our
population we will be in trouble, just like our resources may be lacking because of
the number of people who need it.
