TEST REPORT

This report certifies an analytical study of VORTXTM VSD-2025-BB Vibration Dampers installed on
generic spans of 13.8 mm OPGW to confirm the dampers’ performance in controlling Aeolian
vibration at the recommended damper placements.

Subject

An analytical study was made of the performance of VORTXTM VSD-2025-BB vibration dampers in
reducing Aeolian vibration of the type of 13.8 mm OPGW Generic spans of 250 m, 500 m, 750 m
and 1000m corresponding to the maximum span length for each of the recommended damper
placement schemes were simulated. The study was performed using the software “Conductor and
Bundle Vibration Computing Programs” (CBVCP), developed by Prof. Giorgio Diana of the
Politecnico di Milano.
