The French Revolution, a tumultuous period that shook the very foundations of France and
reverberated across the world, unfolded in a dramatic timeline of events that forever altered the
course of history. It began in 1789 when the Estates-General was convened, marking a turning
point in the nation's history. The storming of the Bastille in July of that year symbolized the
people's demand for liberty and equality, while the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the
Citizen proclaimed revolutionary ideals.

timeline preceded it? Which part of the timeline succeeded? Why did it occur when it did?

Where: Where in France did the event take place? Why did it take place in said part of France?

Why: What made this happen? What part of the causes of the French revolution are most
reflected in the event?
