3 Mins for lesson.

Introduction of learning objectives

5-10 Mins Warm up 3 Jogs of netball courts followed by skips then high knees and finish AFL- What is the importance of a warm up?
with one sprint. To raise heart rate and get blood pumping to working muscles
After learners complete this then introduce stretching; 3 lunges, 3 AFL- What is a warm up made up off?

Bounce pass
Bounce pass-Only one bounce allowed-same as chest pass but ball
travels douwn boncing in front of partner.

Repeat same activites as previous.

Shoulder pass
Shoulder pass-Balls on fingertips with elbow at right angle to body-
Opposite foot forward with hand and transfer weight- extend arm
realising ball of fingers.

Learners should be aware that in order to shoulder pass the distance


needs to be greater, this gives teacher chance to question learners
understanding of pass.

Repeat previous activites

Development- For the high ability learners receiver of pass will need to
run around cone and catch pass inbetween cones and then vice versa.
Teacher will demo what they are looking for

2v1- learners will aim to demonstrate all 3 passes- they will be given
appropriate space to do this.

Teacher will observe learners and add constraints if learners are not AFL- Are learners demonstrating all passes- can learners justify why
showing all 3 passes EG: need to show all passes learnt, cannot pass to and when they are using pass.

KEY RULE-Cannot move when ball is in hand


Four corner end game

Using a third of the netball court, 3 v3 and cones put into square in
each corner- learner will attempt to score into corner zones- point
score only if you’ve made 5 passes and when pass in made into zone-
played need to be standing in there.

Players can score in any corner they like, when teacher feels learners
are ready- game can be played using full court 6v6.

Plenary Questions learners on passes and teaching points
