A330 Captain – Job spec

Introduction

aircraft which includes 11 x A330 (long haul) and A320/A321 aircraft (medium
haul).

Terms & Conditions

What kind of contract do I get?


Pilots will receive a 2-year renewable contract.

Where would I be based?


Pilots will be based in Katunayake City, Colombo.

What is my roster?
6 weeks on followed by 2 weeks off – No annual leave entitlement; Medical leave – 14 days per year.

Full time roster – annual leave of 28 days per year and medical leave of 14 days per year.

Accommodation
SriLankan Airline will provide an accommodation allowance of USD 2,500 gross

Do I get an insurance?
The airline will provide to pilots full Health Insurance.

Loss of licence insurance is also provided by SriLankan Airlines.

Do I get any support for relocation?


SriLankan Airlines will provide a settlement allowance of USD 3,945 gross (one-off settlement).

Is there any support for child education?


The airline will provide a child education allowance of USD 300 gross per month per child.

Travel Benefits
Captains will receive 01 set of firm FOC and 05 sets of sub-load concessional FOC tickets for the
employee and the dependents on UL network and unlimited ID90/ID50/ZED tickets as per the
Company policy (qualifying dependents – spouse and children up to 24 years).

To enable to commence employment, the Company will provide free firm air travel Business class for
Captains (UL Network only) from the defined home base to Colombo and on firm ID travel on sectors
not operated by SriLankan Airlines (EY Class) by using other appropriate airlines at the discretion of
the Company for yourself, spouse and 3 children up to 24 years.

On completion of the term of contract, the Company will provide free firm air travel from Colombo
back to the defined home base on Business class for Captains (UL Network) and on firm-ID travel on
sectors not operated by SriLankan Airlines by using other appropriate airlines (EY Class) at the
discretion of the Company (will be applicable for spouse and up to three fully dependent children

below the age of 24 years)

Employee and the spouse will be provided with an unaccompanied baggage allowance of 300kgs
each; in addition, 150kgs per child up to three fully dependent children between the age of two and
twenty one years.

All miscellaneous charges pertaining to up-lifting of above unaccompanied cargo has to be borne by
the employee.

Will a get paid during training?


Captains will be paid during training an allowance of USD 3000 gross per month.

Minimum requirements to apply

➢ Direct Entry Captains with Type Endorsements (A330)


➢ Current ATPL recognized by the CAASL of Sri Lanka
➢ Current Type rating (A330)
➢ Flying Experience - Should have a minimum of a total of 5500 Hours with 1000 P1 Hours on
type.
➢ The License and Class 1 Medical must be current and under one Authority.
➢ ICAO ELPC Level 4 and above.
➢ Maximum age to join is 60 years old.
➢ Date of last PIC flight on type in the last 12 months

Application Process

SG Aviation Services will coordinate your application through the screening and selection
process.

STAGE 1 – Initial Application Documents & Screening with SG Aviation Services

Please send your up-to-date CV to SG Aviation Services.

Suitable candidates will be requested to complete an application form.

STAGE 2 – Client Review

SriLankan Airlines will review your application and profile and advise if they wish to
proceed to the next stage.

STAGE 3 – Documentation review

Approved candidates will be asked to send the following documents:


• Current ATPL License
• Current Medical certificate
• Endorsed Logbook
• Passport

STAGE 4 – Online Interview

Approved candidates will be scheduled for an online interview with the airline.

STAGE 5 – SIM assessment and Documentation review

The airline will confirm if candidates have been successful at documentation screening and
shall notify SG Aviation.

The approved candidates will be invited to the sim assessment in Sri Lanka – the flights and
accommodation will be provided by the airline (for 5 days).

Pilots will be required to present the following documents:


• Current ATPL License
• Current Medical certificate
• Endorsed Logbook.
• Previous Training Records (Last two LPC reports, Last Two-Line check Reports and
Recurrent Ground Training records)
• CAASL form CAASL/OPS/016
• Application for FLVC signed by operator or applicant.

STAGE 6 – Positioning

Pilots arrive on base to commence assignment.
