Finally a moment of peace and quiet and a moment to myself.

What a day it has been, what a week it has been. I fully understand that the year is Enter your email address to subscribe
coming to an end and everything and everything body is tired. So am I. to this blog and receive notifications
of new posts by email.
Thanks to load shedding last week, all the computers blew, so while we waited for

the insurance to pay out work, work piled up. When the new PCs finally arrived.
The job of downloading backups and setting up outlook fell on my shoulders. Mine
of all people, I have zero IT skills, but 3 days and 3 computers later I managed to SUBSCRIBE
get everyone up and running.

Then because the PC I claimed was mine, only had 1USB port, I had to get a USB
adaptor with a few extra ports and well I forced the USB stick into the adaptor and

the USB broke. 8 years down the drain, all my work was on the USB.

I tried a few you tube videos that showed you could solder the blady thing and it
would work, ja right, it didn’t do anything other than make my blood pressure rise,
because I was working myself up and kicking myself for my own stupidity.

So here I am trying to recreate 8 years of work to show the auditors and inspectors    
that I have been working and am I not lying when I say that I have done daily dips
and temperatures for 8 years, I just wanted to be clever and store everything on a Follow chillibitten 79
USB instead of printing and now I am paying the price.

If that wasn’t bad enough, this afternoon, my mother was filing the monthly
accounts away while Leo and I were playing, and he ran under the table and
screamed blue murder. A staple that was on the ground had gone into the paw and
he wouldn’t let me take it out. I landed up wearing garden gloves so he would stop
biting me, but he bit right through the glove. So, I drove like a mad woman in peak
hour traffic to get to the vet to get this staple. The maddening part of this whole
thing was when we got to the vet Leo was so well behaved, he didn’t even attempt
to bite the vet, who is a stranger, but me, his own flesh and blood he was ready to
kill for trying to help. It just shows me where his loyalty lies, no more boxes of balls
for him, no sir, no way.

When I finally got home, I still had adreline running through my veins and I was in
no mood to eat the curry I made, I was more in the mood for popcorn, but
obviously there was no popcorn, but there was frozen corn in the freezer, left over
from the samosa filling and I still had Chetna’s chaat recipe that I was dying to
make again and this time take a picture. That is what I did, for the first time this
week I stood in front of the stove, without a thought in my mind or my to do
running in my mind, I just stood there and went to my happy place.

My parents saw what I was doing and apparently, they also had a craving for chaat,
although my dad told me he didn’t know that I was making but he wanted some, I
could not eat alone, he had to taste to see if I didn’t accidently poison myself.
Parents I tell you.

This recipe is super easy to make and hits the spot when you just have the craving
for something, but you are not sure what it is you crave and before you ask, my
mother says that yes will eat this again, if I had to make it.

Ingredients:

500g x frozen sweetcorn kernels.

1 x tbsp butter.
½ x tsp salt.
½ x tsp chaat masala.
½ x tsp chilli powder.
1 x tbsp lime juice.
Handful of fresh coriander roughly chopped.

Method:

Boil the sweetcorn for a few minutes, drain off the water and set the sweetcorn
aside.
In a pan, melt the butter.
Season with salt, chaat masala and chilli powder.
Add in the drained sweetcorn and toss to mix everything.
Remove from the heat.
Mix in the chopped coriander and lime juice.
Give a good mix and serve.
