All End-of-Unit tests and the Mid and End-of-course Competency tests are
now all available in Cambridge One. All tests should be taken on a desktop
or laptop.

02
End of unit test ‘personalised pathways’ are no longer part of the 2nd
Edition. Students can use the mobile optimised Digital Workbook for
additional practice.

Details on the End of Unit Tests

Both Empower Second Edition and American Empower will
have access to the end of unit tests on Cambridge One
after lesson C. The tests are automarked and students can
see how they have performed on each of the grammar,
vocabulary and functional language points covered in the
unit.

At this point students can review their test and see what
they got right or wrong. Students are then directed to a set
of relevant exercises in the Digital Workbook for further
practice. There will be no personalized paths as with the
First edition. If the students has performed well in the test
then extension activities are suggested.

After completing these exercises students are able to re-

attempt those test questions they got wrong the first time,
thus learning from and having the opportunity to correct
their earlier mistakes. The student can then review their
test again and this time has access to the correct answers.
