Analysis Questions
1. What was your experimental value for the radius of curvature of your
mirror? How did it compare to the actual value? What was the percent error,
and what are some factors that might have cause this error? Show your work

2. How did your experimental values for M compare to the theoretical value?
What are some factors that might have cause error?

3. Given your experimental value for the radius of curvature R of your mirror,
how far from the mirror must you locate your object to produce an image
that is 3 times the size of the objects? Is the image real or virtual? Show your
work.
4. How would your graph of 1/s change if you used a mirror with a larger
radius of curvature R; how would it change if R was smaller? Draw an
example of each of these curves in the graph below and indicate which trace
corresponds to a larger R and which corresponds to a smaller R.

5. If you removed the light source from the basic optics bench and used a very
bright flashlight more than 40 m away as a light source, about how far away
would the image be from the mirror? Show you work
