The Philippines observe their Independence Day on

the 12th of June. This year they are celebrating the
125th Philippines Independence Day. On this
occasion, Manny Pacquiao, former senator of the
Philippines and retired professional boxer took to
Twitter and spoke about honouring the sacrifices of
their heroes who fought for their freedom.
Additionally, Pacquiao asked for unity and resilience.
While Pacquiao took to Twitter, Floyd Mayweather
wore a Philippine-flag-themed short at his latest
exhibition bout.

It was in 2015 that Floyd Mayweather and Manny

Pacquiao shared the boxing ring and fought. After
eight long years, Pacquiao and ‘TBE’ once again
shared a common ground. Floyd Mayweather just
appeared at the seventh exhibition fight of his life in
Florida. The 50-0 boxer faced John Gotti III in this
fight. While Gotti III wore a pair of black-and-white
trunks, Mayweather fought, wearing the colours of
the Philippine flag.

In his seventh exhibition fight, Floyd Mayweather just

fought John Gotti III. The main event began after a
so-called “horrendous performance“ and ended
with complete chaos inside the arena and the boxing
ring. Although the referee-in-charge called a stop to
the contest following the use of NSFW words by
Gotti III during the fight, the grandson of ‘Teflon Don’
approached Mayweather and started swinging. Even
though Gotti III swung wildly, Mayweather surprised
the former with his accuracy. During the entire
contest, in order to remind fans about the 125th
Philippines Independence Day, Mayweather wore the
colours of the Philippine flag.
