Thank you honorable chairs and fellow delegates

Lebanon encourages member states to issue work permits and residency documents to the refugees
since 87% of working Syrian refugees are working illegally with no legal protections. Furthermore, they
are restricted to only the agricultural, construction, and sanitation sectors.

Lebanon calls for expanding World Food Organization to ensure that both vulnerable Lebanese and
Syrian refugees have sufficient nutritious food throughout the year as around 2 million people are facing
food insecurities and shortages since 2021.

Lebanon encourages member states to support Project Anera as their team includes specialists in
health, education, agriculture, civil engineering, and community development. Their main focus remains
on an intimate understanding of local history and culture to deliver meaningful, long-term results for all
refugee members in Lebanon.

Lebanon urges member states to promote RACE(reaching all children with education), a program
estabilished by the Lebanese Ministry of Education and higher education (MEHE)
so that child labor is not practiced by Syrian child refugees. Lebanon assures that they have educational
opportunities in the formal public system, improve the quality and inclusiveness of the teaching and
learning environment, and strengthen the national education system, policies, and monitoring, by
redoubling its efforts and providing additional financial support.
