along this journey! We’ve prepared this pack for you to learn more about Rivian,
our culture, and how to best prepare for your interviews. Good Luck!

Forever Fund
To extend our impact beyond the products we make – and the industry
competition those products might inspire – we are establishing Forever. It’s a fund
dedicated to addressing our planet’s climate crisis while preserving the critical
biodiversity needed for Earth’s long-term survival.

We put 1% of Rivian’s equity into Forever, creating a substantial and growing


financial platform to focus on high-impact climate initiatives with an emphasis
on preserving and restoring wildlands, waterways, and oceans.

In this way, nature becomes a stakeholder in our shared success. As our


company’s value grows by transitioning customers to sustainable transportation
solutions, so will our mission and philanthropic giving, creating an upward cycle
of positive impact.

Ask Why
Innovation isn’t the job of a small group within the company. Better ways of
doing things are waiting to be discovered at every step in the process, and the
responsibility is on each of us to approach our work from a place of curiosity.
Despite the breadth of objectives and complexity of our goals, our ideas begin
the same way: by investigating the reasons things exist as they do, and then
inquiring about how we can improve them. This encourages us to discuss
root causes and possibilities rather than debate ideologies or dogmas from
previous experiences.

Stay Open
The draw toward the unknown is a defining characteristic of our team. We cultivate
a willingness to welcome uncertainty and all that comes with it. Difficult questions.

actions carry ripples. We invite Rivian employees to zoom out regularly to gain a
more connected perspective.

we recommend connecting with your recruiter for more details on the interview
process specific to the role you are interviewing for.

Hiring Decision: The team will come together to debrief and we will contact you
once we hear back from the team to discuss their decision and any appropriate
next steps.

Whether you’re answering technical or behavioral questions, a well-structured


response will help the details of your experiences shine through. One good way
to prepare and structure your answer is by using the PSI method:

Problem: What task was involved? What was the problem you had to
overcome? What needed to be done?

Solution: What action did you take? What did you own? How did you do it?
Who else was involved?

Impact: What were the results/ measure of success? What was the
outcome? How was it received? What did you learn?

While it’s important to share specifics, please remember never to share


proprietary or confidential information from current or former employers.

Questions
Come with questions that are specific to the team or role. This is your opportunity
to better understand the scope of the role, the aspirations of the team, the way the
team evaluates success, the ways your teammates work, and the way their work
touches the mission: Keep the World Adventurous Forever.

Many Rivian interviews are conducted by phone or video conference using Zoom,
but they can also be onsite. For virtual interviews, please follow the directions
below to download and familiarize yourself with Zoom prior to your interview.

Employees are encouraged to join or start BRGs as a way to come together,


provide education and engagement, and form alliances in awareness and advocacy
across the company. Empathy and openness are big parts of being an ally for each
other. BRGs provide a way to share and receive stories and experiences.

Products We design, develop, and manufacture category-defining electric vehicles (R1T and
R1S) and accessories, and sell them directly to customers in the consumer and
commercial markets (EDV).

Our vehicles are complemented by a full suite of services that enhance the entire
lifecycle of building, owning, and driving a Rivian, while empowering our community
at every turn. Seamless technology helps guide everything from a reimagined
purchasing and in-vehicle experience, to commercial fleet management, and much
more — including production at our Normal, IL, manufacturing facility.

Rivian offers at home chargers that provide 25 miles of range per hour at a charging
speed of 11.5 kw per hour. In addition, we’re building a network of DC fast chargers
(or Level 3 chargers) to deliver the fastest charging speeds available for your
vehicle. Our vehicle charger is compatible with the CCS standard. As we expand
internationally, the Rivian Adventure Network will continue to grow.
