Promoting Priestly Mission of Christ

Informative Speech

Giving selfless sacrifice to other people can make them know that they matter to you. Being selfless means
that you are putting other people’s welfare first than your own. You think less of yourself, and more about
others. This shows much more kindness, care, love, and generosity to them. Setting aside our own
interests and desires can help us empathize with other people and connect with them harmoniously. Just
like what Jesus did to mankind. He is giving Himself to connect with us.

Christ has a three-fold mission as Prophet, Priest, and King. Jesus is the great high priest. He teaches His
disciples the good news and law of the bible. He is forgiving and able to empathize with those who are
weak. He is a perfect priest since his love is perfect and could never grow, it also never wavered or
diminished. His love for us is eternal that He gave His only begotten son so whosoever believes in Him
could have everlasting life. The Holy Eucharist represents the last supper in which Jesus blessed the bread
and wine that represents His body and His blood of the covenant. The priest in the church represents the
Eucharistic sacrifice in the person of Christ and offers it to God on behalf of all humanity.

For me, receiving the Holy Eucharist means that I am accepting Jesus’ divinity and soul in my life. Holy
Eucharist is both a sacrament and a sacrifice. Jesus shows Himself in the form of bread and wine and
makes me acknowledge His everlasting love and sacrifice. Receiving communion makes me connect and
have a deeper relationship with God. I can show the priestly mission of Jesus by being one of the Knights
of the Altar. Obeying the law and commands of God is also important. I should live my life in accordance
with the will of Jesus. I should also treat other people with empathy, love, and care as what Jesus did to
his disciples. Dear fellow youth, Jesus is a great example of selfless sacrifice. He died on the cross to save
us from our sins. His love and sacrifice are eternal. He would love it if we obeyed His teachings and submit
ourselves to Him. Jesus is not asking too much from us. We should realize that we have a purpose and
sins separate us from God’s purpose to us. Accepting Him is the only solution to save us from sins. We can
accept Him wholeheartedly. Now.
