Cerita ini menceritakan tentang Kancil yang sedang mencari buah, akar, dan tunas yang
lezat di hutan. Meskipun kecil, Kancil tidak takut karena tahu banyak hewan besar yang ingin
memakannya. Namun, saat bertemu Harimau, Harimau ingin menjadikannya makan siang.
Kancil pun berbohong bahwa ia harus menjaga puding Raja yang sebenarnya hanya lumpur.
Harimau ingin mencicipi puding itu dan setuju asalkan Kancil menjauh. Namun, ketika
Harimau mencicipi lumpur, ia menyadari bahwa itu bukan puding dan mengejar Kancil lagi
untuk memakannya.
