Product Information

Caterpillar is pleased to announce the release of the Generation II Flexport™

tires. Key changes implemented with the Cat® Flexport™ are:

• Flexport’s tread is 58 percent deeper than the extreme duty solid tire to deliver
longer wear life and better traction on any surface. The newly designed rubber
compound and rim is engineered to Caterpillar standards.
• Rounded edges on the tread to resist chunking
• Caterpillar insures the rubber compound is 100% natural rubber, resulting in
consistent and longer wear life
• Concave sidewalls aid in greater debris deflection, softer ride, and better
stability.

Generation II Flexport™ tires still have the features that the Generation I
Flexport™ tires had such as:

• Extra Width – Caterpillar Flexport™ tires are wider than a standard solid tire
providing greater stability.
• Puncture proof design – No Flats – eliminating downtime.
• One-Piece design – Quick and easy to install new tires – less downtime, means
more productive.
• Patented Sidewall Ports – make the ride more comfortable for operators

Availability and Ordering Information

These tires are available for order through the Cat Parts Distribution System and
are stocked in Waco Work Tools facility and Grimbergen. Out of the Grimbergen
facility they will ship on your dealer truck. Waco orders will ship prepaid, weekly on a
consolidated Work Tools truck with a stock order direct to the your dealership;
emergency orders from Waco, will ship at dealers cost with freight override.

Fitment of a Cat Flexport tire on a Small & Medium Wheel Loader requires the use of an
adapter plate and hardware. See charts for required hardware and bolt part numbers.

*Note: In certain machine configurations, Cat Flexport tires may cause the machine to exceed ROPS
capacity. To be certain that the machine does not exceed ROPS, the machine should be weighed to
verify that the ROPS limits would not be exceeded with Flexport Tires. The ROPS capacity can be found
on the cab of the machine.

Warranty:

Flexport Tires carry general 12 months warranty coverage for any manufacturing
defects.

Reman:

At this time there is currently no Reman or return program in place for the Generation II
Tires or their cores.
