About School of Internal Security and Police Administration

The School of Internal Security and Police Administration (SISPA) offers various Academic and Research
Programmes viz. Ph.D. in Police Administration; M.A. in Police Administration and Strategic
Management; Post Graduate Diploma in Police Science & Management (PGDIPSM); Post Graduate
Diploma in Industrial Safety and Security (PGDISS); B.A. in Security Management (BASM); & Diploma in
Police Science (DIPS).The SISPA was created in February 2020 with a view to expand the ambit of the then
existing Department of Police Administration to cover various dimensions of internal security. The
School has a rich pool of experienced faculty members, including those who have served with distinction
in Gujarat Police and Central Industrial Security Force. The School strives to provide students with a
blend of theory and practice. The internships and field visits to major police and other security
organizations are regular features of the School. In addition, seminars, special lectures and regular
interaction with practitioners from all the domains of internal security are facilitated by the School. In
addition, the School has five dedicated Centers namely, Centre for Border Management and Intelligence
Studies (CBMIS); Centre for Counter Insurgency and Counter Terrorism (CCICT); Centre for Corporate
and Private Security Studies (CCPSS); Centre for Women in Police and Security Service (CWPSS) and
Centre for Traffic Management and Road Safety (CTMRS).

About the Centre for Corporate and Private Security Studies

The Centre for Corporate and Private Security Studies (CCPSS) is conceptualized by RRU’s School of
Internal Security and Police Administration (SISPA) from the Academic Year 2020-21. The objective for
establishing the Centre is to work towards offering solutions to the multitude of challenges faced by the
Corporate and Private Security Industries and to provide the opportunity for the Skilling, Re-skilling and
Up-skilling of the corporate and private security personnel. The Centre is working towards motivating
the youth and ex-servicemen to join the corporate and private security industries and excel in their
career as corporate and private security professional. The CCPSS is engaged in Teaching, Training,
Research, and Extension activities in the sphere of Corporate and Private Security Industries.
In recent past, the Centre for Corporate and Private Security Studies (CCPSS) has organized number of
lecture series on corporate and private security by the security professionals covering various topics.
RRU has also signed MoUs with many organizations including CISS Academy for Skill Human
Development Pvt. Ltd., the Central Association of Private Security Industry (CAPSI) for training and
promoting employment opportunities for the youth and ex-servicemen. The CCPSS has also organized a
7 days Training Programme for the on-roll security officers of NAYARA Energy Ltd. For their reskilling
and upskilling. The Centre has also hosted a Round Table with Corporate and Private Security Agencies to
explore the employment opportunities in the corporate and private security sectors.

The Centre has also established a K9 dog squad with trained dog trainer, dog handlers and dogs. The
Centre is also planning for the technical training of the youths, retiring and retired ex-servicemen,
security personnel, etc. on use of CCTV Video Footage Auditing and Investigation. The Centre is
establishing a security laboratory encompassing security gadgets for the hands-on experience to the
students and trainees on the use of industrial security technology. The Centre is progressing with the
activities to promote academia – industry partnership by exploring the possibilities of employment by
introducing certificate, diploma, degree, post graduate diploma courses on security management for
security personnel for their career progression and for the students those who are seeking their career in
Corporate and Private security sectors.

Purpose of the Programme

Rashtriya Raksha University takes the initiatives to organize certificate courses with an aim to increase
the employability by providing an educational enhancement platform. The 5-days Online Certificate
Course on Industrial Security and Safety Management organized by Centre for Corporate and Private
Security Studies (CCPSS) under the aegis of School of Internal Security and Police Administration (SISPA),
Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) is designed to achieve the mission for recruitment of - Retiring and Retired
Defence Personnel; Serving Central and State Police Personnel and Retired Central and State Police Personnel.

Important Information
Ÿ The course will commence in Online mode.
Ÿ Two sessions per day followed by questions and answers session in each session.
Ÿ E-Certificate will be provided to all successful participants.
Ÿ Google Meet platform will be used for the online training Course.

Methodology
