1) As per NFPA 22, Temperature of the storage water should be not be less than 4.

& should be maintained above 5.6oC, hence minimum storage temperature of the
water is considered as 5.0oC & Maximum storage temperature of the water is
considered as 52.0oC (which is the max ambient temperature as per environmental
data).
2) As per Shell DEP 31.38.01.25, pump suction allowable velocity limit is 1.5-4
m/s & pressure drop allowable limit is 0.15-0.4 bar/100 m, the same criteria
shall be used for verifying pump suction lines.
3) As per Shell DEP 31.38.01.25, pump discharge allowable velocity limit is 1.5-
4 m/s (CS), 1.5-6 m/s (GRE) & pressure drop allowable limit is 0.15-0.627
bar/ 100 m the same criteria shall be used for verifying pump discharge lines.
4) Even though shell DEP 31.38.01.25 allowing till 4 & 6 m/s, pump discharge
line velocity shall be restricted to 3 m/s as per the SHELL DEP 80.47.10.31.
