Bundle theory of self

This theory by David Hume basically implies that who described the self or person
(which he assumed to be the mind) as ’nothing but a bundle or collection of different
perceptions, which succeed each other with an inconceivable rapidity, and are in a
perpetual flux and movement, the self doesn't have a fixed or unchanging identity.
Instead, what we consider to be our identity is a dynamic combination of experiences.
This idea questions the common belief in a constant self that persists over time, Identity
depends on the relationships between principles, and these relationships create identity
by the simple transition they cause. The 'bundle theory' raises questions regarding the
relationship between the many components of our thoughts. One theory is that our
thoughts are made up of completely autonomous parts, although this is improbable. It's
more logical to believe that, while the elements of our brain can work in a systematic or
coordinated manner, they lack inherent integration. Even though they constitute a
coherent system, they could conceivably be removed or used for different purposes,
similar to how gears in a machine may be disassembled and utilized. David Hume
asserts that we have changing identities throughout this journey of life we may encounter
problems or experiences in life that will make us transform our selves and change our
perspective on different things and will make us of who we are today in present what we
consider our “self” is different of what we are days, or 10 years ago our mind and
perception in life revolves overtime and is a personal development of ourselves, yourself
may vary depending on the nature you belong example is that I myself is a different
person when I am with my family and friends so this suggest that we have a
conceptualized bundle of identity in our self.

Adlerian theory
The “Adlerian theory by Alfred Aldren purports that humans are social beings and
therefore all behavior is socially embedded and has social meaning” (Watts, 2000b).
Adler emphasized the importance of relationships and being connected to others,
including the larger community in which people reside. focuses on people's efforts to
make up for their perceived inadequacy to others. These sentiments of inferiority may
stem from one's position in the family constellation, particularly if humiliation occurred
early in life; a specific physical condition or differences existed; or there was a general
lack of social feeling for others. Adlerian is interested in understanding the individual
and private beliefs and methods (one's life style) that each person develops in childhood.
This cognitive schema and life style serve as a reference for attitudes, behaviors, and the
individual's private perception of themselves, others, and the world. Healing, growth,
and transformation occur when we analyze our early childhood experiences, the patterns
of behavior that repeat themselves in our lives, and the means by which we attempt to
acquire importance and belonging, just like for example in our family my sister which is
the first born is responsible to things when both my parents are not around she tends to
be the leader for us these concept also serves as a proof for this theory that your
individual self reflects you depending on your birth order because I believe that we are
able to adapt these certain traits, this also means when I myself is the last born in the
family so my lifestyle views about how I deal with certain things and personally as a last
born child I am codependent with my sister which I need to improve and overcome with
myself.

I hope this letter finds you in good spirits and health. I know things
have been so tough lately all those silent battles you are battling with, breakdowns when things
gets so overwhelming, I want you to know how proud I am for you for surviving and making this
far, for choosing to save yourself each day, you’ve already come a long way on this journey and
I can’t believe that you’re on your college freshie era (sobbing) you are now on a step closer to
your dream I hope I made my 7th year old self happy and soon will be prouder to me, always
remember to pick up yourself even if life throws rocks at you, even if they underestimates you
and there will be instances that will make you doubt yourself remember that these twists and
turns often leads to most unexpected things with beautiful outcomes and destinations, Please
remember to not forget to take care of yourself. College life can be intense, but your well-being
should always be a priority. Do things that you love, eat ice cream if things gets so heavy, watch
your favorite kdrama if you want to escape, your mental health is also as important as your
physical health, and I hope that you will soon have the courage to go beyond your horizon and
go out of your comfort zone I know “go bigger than your fears” has been your ultimate mantra
in life so I believe that you can. And most importantly have the hope that you will have the
courage to keep loving yourself deeply in a world that sometimes failed to do so.

With love,
Maxine Domagsang
