    Policy Statement
    The Shaar Shalom Congregation receives donations of various amounts and for various
    purposes. Many donations are specified for contribution to one of the many funds overseen by
    the Capital and Endowment Fund Committee. However, some donations are made without
    restriction. This policy has been developed to clarify the allocation of unrestricted donations
    received by the Shaar Shalom Congregation.

    Policy Objectives
    The objective of this policy is to clarify the allocation of unrestricted donations received by the
    Shaar Shalom Congregation.

    Policy Application
    An unrestricted donation to the Shaar Shalom Congregation in an amount not exceeding $5,000
    may be used by the Board of the Shaar Shalom Congregation at its discretion.

    An unrestricted donation to the Shaar Shalom Congregation in an amount exceeding $5,000 must
    be directed to the congregation’s Capital and Endowment Fund for investment and disbursement.
