Unit 1: PHOTOSHOP

Photoshop is mainly used to edit and manipulate images and graphics. The program has a wide range
of correction settings in the areas of color, brightness, saturation, etc. Also, it offers enough flexibility
to create layouts for web pages, for example. Graphic designers use Photoshop to create images with
very specific moods and process them in such a way that they have a very specific effect on the
viewer. This also includes working in different color spaces. For example, photos from a digital
camera (RGB mode) can be converted to CMYK mode for printing. Photoshop is a pixel-based
graphics program. This means that each pixel in a working document can be assigned its own
individual brightness value. The higher the resolution, the smoother the display. There are essentially
two different resolutions, common at the international level. For Internet projects, a resolution of 72
dpi (dots per inch) is used and for the print area, a resolution of 300 dpi (dots per inch). In Photoshop
however, you also have the option of setting the resolution entirely on your own
