Articles of human right and preamble of UDHR ANSWER 1. The phrase “the price of freedom is eternal vigilance“, means that in other to maintain freedom, one must always be vigilant and be aware of any potential threats to it. This phrase originated from a speech given by THOMAS JEFFERSON in 1801, the sentiment behind the phrase is that freedom must be actively protected and defended, rather than taken for granted. An example is the police brutality. In regard to the police brutality one should learn to speak up, most people out of fear or ignorance of their right they choose to be silent. They should be educated that the only way to gain freedom is to be vigilant. 2. a) The concepts of stem from the times of PLATO and ARISTOTLE and were practised by the great thinkers such as; MAHATMA GANDHI and MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. Natural law is constant throughout time and across the globe because it is based on human nature, not on the culture or customs. b) when we fail to observe human right that is the right that regulates people’s action in the society so people don’t trample on others right once this right is disregarded there won’t be justice for any injured party done by other people’s wrong and hereby, asking the society a prison camp because in prison camp there is no law governing the right of people, they do what they want and get away with it because human right is not covering them. 3.
