ANSWER
1. The phrase “the price of freedom is eternal vigilance“, means
that in other to maintain freedom, one must always be vigilant
and be aware of any potential threats to it. This phrase originated
from a speech given by THOMAS JEFFERSON in 1801, the
sentiment behind the phrase is that freedom must be actively
protected and defended, rather than taken for granted. An
example is the police brutality.
In regard to the police brutality one should learn to speak
up, most people out of fear or ignorance of their right they
choose to be silent. They should be educated that the only way to
gain freedom is to be vigilant.
2. a) The concepts of stem from the times of PLATO and
ARISTOTLE and were practised by the great thinkers such as;
MAHATMA GANDHI and MARTIN LUTHER KING JR.
Natural law is constant throughout time and across the globe
because it is based on human nature, not on the culture or
customs.
b) when we fail to observe human right that is the right that
regulates people’s action in the society so people don’t trample
on others right once this right is disregarded there won’t be
justice for any injured party done by other people’s wrong and
hereby, asking the society a prison camp because in prison camp
there is no law governing the right of people, they do what they
want and get away with it because human right is not covering
them.
