Sentence Building

 You have learnt many adjectives to describe a person.

 Do you still remember where to put an adjective?

 before a noun
 after a linking verb
 after a linking verb and before a noun
 Simple sentence structure: Subject + Verb + Object

 If the subject/object is a noun, then you may add an


adjective in front of the noun in it.
 E.g.
 My older brother is a smart scientist.
 Subject: my brother
 Verb: is
 Object: a scientist

 Can you add adjectives in this sentence?

1. Find out all the adjectives in the passage.

Kimberly has a round face. She often wears a purple hair band. Her
eyes are small. She likes swimming, skipping, and playing football.
She is not clumsy but active and energetic. She is a friendly and
cheerful girl.
2. Expand the following sentences with the adjectives.
