Review of "Ïnto the

woods"

Do you enjoy watching a

good musical? If you do, I
would recommend you not
To summarize, the plot is to watch this film.
about a group of main
characters from classic fairy
tales all going into the woods
to look for something. When
all of the sudden, an evil
witch informs a baker and his
wife of a terrible curse that
has been put upon them and
how to undo it.

Into the woods is full of outstanding

performances and cast, the songs and
narrative, however, are the complete opposite.
The original idea of the plot is quite intriguing
but the way it was told was extremely
confusing: the stories were all over the place
and it was very hard to keep-up. On the other
hand, the songs weren't memorable at all. In
my personal opinion, that defeats the whole
purpose of a musical because if I watch a disney
musical, the least i expect are some catchy
tunes.

Despite all of this, i'm sure the film was

targeted at children that won't
actually care about most of these
problems given that they'll probably
watch it to have a little fun and for
the lovable characters. So, for that
matter, it's certainly not the worst
disney musical.

In conclusion, there are

so many entretaining
musicals intended for
children that also
work for adults but
sadly, this isn't one of
