Materials:

• Iris (Gamma, 82 m/ 10 g) or any other thin cotton yarn

• Hollow-fiber
• A wire d=0,6 mm

Tools:

• The hook 0,75

• The pincers with the thin tips to stuff
• The sharp scissors
• A thin darning needle
• Round pliers, pliers and cutting pliers

Necessary skills and abbreviations:

ch (chain), sc (single crochet), sl st (slip stitch), MR (magic ring), inc (increase), dec (decrease), crocheting
in a spiral, crocheting by the wrong side out.

∗ The beginners can crochet the toy with a thinner yarn. Choose a hook, so as it does not leave the holes in
the cloth. In that case it is necessary to use a thicker wire 

Head

Begin crocheting from the top of the head, crochet by the wrong side out as tight as possible.
Leave a long (~ 40 cm) free end of a thread – we will crochet the ears and embroider the nose
with this tread.

Mark the end of the 5th row with a contrast thread to define the places for the ear easier. I put a
marker between the 30 sc of the 5 row and the 1 sc of the 6 row.
* Do not remove a marker until we define the places for the ears and neck!
6 – 14: 30 sc
In the 15th row begin crocheting the decreases. You can crochet the invisible decreases (it is
rather hard to make them at this size of the toy), I just skip one stitch 
15: 3 sc, 3 dec, 10 sc, 3 dec, 5 sc (24)
16: 2 sc, 3 dec, 7 sc, 3 dec, 3 sc (18)
17: 1 sc, 3 dec, 4 sc, 3 dec, 1 sc (12)

Stop. Stuff the head, pay the special attention to the corners of the jaw (those places, where we
crocheted the decreases). Arrange the stuffing with the fingers and give a necessary shape. Pay
attention: the head should not be round!

18: 6 dec.
Fasten off and cut the yarn, hide the end inside the head with the help of the hook.

Ears and nose

Here a marker will be useful for us. I hope you haven’t removed it 

Right ear:

Take out a thread, which we left in the very beginning of crocheting, with the help of a needle between
the 22 sc and 23 sc of the 12 row (7 rows down from a marker and 8 sc to the right from a marker). Turn
the head by the face to yourself. Crochet the right ear from the top to the bottom:

Round the 22 sc of the 12 row: 1 ch, 2 dc

Round the 22 sc of the 13 row: 1 sl st.

Draw out a thread, insert it back in a needle.

Left ear:

Insert a needle between the 21 sc and 22 sc, stretch it through the head and take out between the 3 sc
and 4 sc of the 13 row (7 rows down from a marker and 3 sc to the left from a marker). Again turn the
head by the face to yourself. Crochet the left ear from the bottom to the top:

Round the 4 sc of the 13 row: 1 ch

Round the 4 sc of the 12 row: 2 dc, 1 sl st.

Draw out a thread, again insert it in a needle.

Nose:

Insert a needle between the 4 sc and 5 sc of the 12 row, stretch through the head and take out between
the 13 sc and 14 sc of the 14 row (9 sc to the left and 1 row down from the lower edge of the left ear).
Make 2 stitches round the 13 sc of the 14 row (do not tighten strongly, so as the nose appeared to be
slightly prominent), take out a needle in the top of the head, cut a thread.

Body
Step 9 rows down and 2 sc to the right from a marker. Call the opening between the 2nd and 3rd sc the
point N. Find 6 nearest openings round the point N.

1: insert the hook in the point N, take out from the point 1, grasp the yarn and crochet 1 ch. Further
crochet one sc in the points 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 (one sc in each of these points), moving counter-clockwise.
Crochet the last 6th sc in the point 1 – a circle is closed.

13 – 16: 22 sc

17: 19 sc and stop.

Stuff the body. Not very tight, so as the belly will not be too round.

Now we need to sew the doll’s perineum. To do this, connect the stitches in pairs with the sc:

The 20 sc of the 16 row and the 12 sc of the 17 row;

The 21 sc of the 16 row and the 11 sc of the 17 row;

The 22 sc of the 16 row and the 10 sc of the 17 row;

The 1 sc of the 17 row and the 9 sc of the 17 row.

Continue crocheting the left leg with the same thread – first along the back, then turn to the belly.
Crochet by the wrong side out in a spiral as tight as possible.

Finish crocheting the ankle, crochet the foot:

* If you see, that the decreases shift aside – undo the part of the leg, including a wrong decrease, and crochet/undo 1 sc to

Do not close the opening yet – we will insert the frame in it. Slightly draw out a thread, leave a free end
~15 cm, cut.

Arms
Find the decreases on the shoulders – the 4 sc and 15 sc of the 7th row.

First crochet the right arm. Insert the hook in the decrease, take out as it is shown at the photo, grasp
the yarn and crochet the flat detail:

1: 17 ch, 1 ch. Turn the crocheting.

2: crochet 17 sc along the chain, return back to the shoulder. Again insert the hook in the decrease, take

Draw out a thread, leave a free end ~25 cm, cut.

The doll is looked almost like a human, it is left only to inset the
frame 

Frame
You’ll need a wire, the cutting pliers, round pliers and pliers.

Legs

Cut two pieces of a wire of a necessary length and make the small
loops at one side of each wire with the help of the round pliers.
Before inserting a wire I slightly enlarge the doll’s ankle with the
help of a hook or a knitting needle.

Insert a wire with loop in the leg, close the opening with 4 dec,
fasten off and cut a thread. Hide the end of a thread inside the leg.

Arms

A wire in the arms will go throughout the body. Insert in the decrease at one side and take out from the
decrease at the opposite side. I recommend doing it first with a knitting needle or a thin hook, so as you
can easier insert a wire.

Bend the ends of a wire at the

both sides with the pliers. Pay
attention: the frame should be
a little bit shorter than the
crocheted cloth, so as the ends
of a wire will not get out of its
limits.

It is necessary to sew accurately the edges of the future arms. We will sew like we lace up the boots,
each time guiding a needle from inside to outside and densely tightening the seam.

Make 5 stitches on the right hand, stop, crochet 2 ch and draw out a thread to the end – it will be the
thumb 

Return a thread back in a needle, stretch it through the base of the thumb (hold the thumb, so as it will
not escape) and continue sewing like we lace up the boots till the armpit. To fasten a thread pass it
several times throughout the body in the optional directions.

Make the same for the left arm, but before the thumb make 4 stitches, not 5.

Spine

Measure out a wire, bend one end. Form the way in the top of the head with a knitting needle or a hook
and insert a wire, so as it will go throughout the head and entered in the neck and body.
